Hi Brenda!  I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!  I don't have any real life quilting friends, so this place is really great for me.  The best way to jump right in is to join some of the groups.  I didn't really meet anyone until I did.  Everyone is really friendly and helpful!

Have you thought about posting some of your quilt photos?  Everyone loves looking at each others quilts!

Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it here; it just takes awhile to figure the site out.

Welcome Quilter Friend!

Just wanted to pop in to say “hello” and introduce myself. I’m Linda Hubalek, fellow quilter and author from Kansas. Books about pioneer women are my specialty, with a cooking or quilting theme mixed into each historical fiction series.

If you like to read—besides quilting—please enjoy my blog and book excerpts on my website too. Besides printed as paperbacks, my ten books are also available for your Kindle or Nook. Actually my Trail of Thread ebooks are on special, so now’s a good time to “Follow the trail to Kansas” with my quilting women.

Or if you’d like the paperback version I just posed a special on my Linda Hubalek website (until Aug. 21st) that you can get 20% off your book order by using the code QUILT in the shopping cart.

I have about a dozen quilts made by my great grandmother, (that we used all the time when I was a kid) so I’m into antique quilts and patterns. What kind of quilts and patterns do you like to work with?

Happy quilting and reading!

Linda Hubalek
