Oh and I just noticed it was your Birthday so Happy Birthday!
Hey Bonnie welcome to my quilt place. I don't get on her often enough but I notice that you were @ Washington Ia and wanted to invite you to a local guild. I belong to Wellman County Quilters in Wellman Ia we meet this coming Monday eve. in Wellman @ Senior Dining Center if you are interested in joining us to check it out send a message back and I will forward the newsletter as this week will be our annual meeting and appointing of officers .
What do you want to do?
Just keep asking and others will jump in to give advice.
The best thing to do is just jump around and play in this site that is what I did. I was a facebook user but I love this site cause it is geared more towards our craft.
Bonnie I'm a free motion quilter on my domestic machine but I do love the Machine Quilting magazine as it is geared more for the longarm, but it still tells alot about what to do on a machine. It is one of my favorite magazines. I think I have that subscription for like 3 years now.
To me that is a great investment. I still love hand work but I have done real reel on my home machine.
If you are having issues drop the girls questions on the Batik Strip Swap as there are some great quilters with awesome ideas to help you. Just ask them! Most quilters are willing to help and I can answer questions too. I have been quilting on my domestic for about 20+ years now.
Bonnie come over to the Batik Strip Swap and join in the gals are having a great time doing their projects.
Hi Bonnie just here to introduce myself and welcome you to MQP.
Some times we are not sure where to visit on this site but I wanted to let you know that I have a group of gals and I that are doing several different quilts the Blooming Nine and the Jewel Box quilts. We are posting pictures with our choices of fabrics and progress. Carla Walton has done several of the Blooming Nine so she is our administrator. Come on over to view what we are doing at http://myquiltplace.com/group/batik-strip-swap/forum/topics/projects-and-pictures?xg_source=activity.
To do the Jewel Box we have a Batik Strip Swap going on and we are using those strips for the Jewel Box.
