That's great that you have a block of the month it in person or an on-line group? Have you been working on your Quilts of Valor blocks? I keep meaning to make one, but I always get distracted with something else. I make a lot of quilts to donate to Quilts for Kids, and those are pretty small, so it's fun and easy to make them.
You know, I've been quilting for 6 years and have yet to make a flying geese block. I make a lot of quilts with half-square triangles, but for some reason I'm too chicken to try a flying geese. I've tried, but the points always get cut off.
Anyway, I hope to hear from you again...I really love this site and meeting other quilters!

Hi Betty!  I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon.  I'm retired as well and started quilting about 6 years ago.  You're so lucky you have a place to have classes and fellowship with other quilters!  That's why I came here...I live in a very small town without any guilds, quilting groups or classes and I wanted to meet other quilters.  I had to teach myself how to quilt because no one I know quilts.  I learned using books and the internet.  This website has a lot of really friendly ladies who are extremely helpful as well!  When I came here I joined several of the groups so I could get to know others and I started a group for new quilters as well.

I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
