I am in the process right now of making a jacket. Is it ok to mix satin on the cuffs, yoke, and one front piece with cotton? Doing bargello on back, thought to put yoke in satin and embroidery on…Continue

I am so enjoying the New Year Challenge for 2014. I have been able to finish at least one project a month. The thought of next year has crept in. Seeing my piles of scraps, as some of you may have, and being influenced to join in the Scrappy Quilts Group, Leaders and Enders, my goal for 2015 will be to make 12 scrap quilts. That is one a month. I believe this is doable.
Along with that goal of scrap quilts, finishing 22 kits I have purchased will be a goal as well.
Going…

Since last years quest to finish up UFOs, it left me with around 30 or so at the beginning of this year. I have since then finished up quite a few more. I do have around 10 to 12 left, we have them hidden in corners still. With that said, my next adventure has been to do a whole cloth quilt. Now those are a challenge. I am to design it and quilt it using only rulers and stencils, no patterns or copying any other wholecloth quilt. As one would notice, drawing is not an easy task. Even…

To update everyone. I am glad to say that I finished all 120 UFOs for 2012. I finished on December 31, 2:00p.m. with the very last one, including the binding. i was so very thrilled. So worth the effort. Now to get busy on this years quest, finishing all my photos in their albums. The sad part is that I have not even started. Still working on getting quiltiing done. Yep, quilting is a stronger passion than the photos. I have a little one graduating this coming year so I need to have…

Well, here is the middle of November and I am at 99 for the year. I have three customer quilts to finish, three Peppermint Twist orders to fill, and 21 more UFOs to get done all by end of year. God is good and He has not let me down so far. I know that there is an end to this task and I must stay on track to get there. I have so appreciated the encouragement and wonderful comments on the quilts I have completed thus far. Now to move forward some more.
I am scared to do my own quilting, but I am eager to learn free motion quilting. My daughter has a longarm quilting machine but I would love to learn to do my own as she has so many of her own to do.
Happy Birthday, Beth. Hope you have a fun and wonderful day...
Hi Beth,
I am in Texas. That is far to ship, but I may be willing. I am just thinking an all over design, what designs do you have or do you enjoy doing? What is the cost with and with out the batting...I do have some here...this quilt grew, but I always keep extra batting of all sizes on hand. I like cotton.
Thanks, Victoria ( Zoe)
Hi. I'm off work on Thursday and Friday, so if you send your address, I'll mail it then.
Thank you for the friend invitation. Yes, I accept! I got your address from the contest to finish projects by a certain date. My Hubby took it over to the drug store which has a post office. He was going to buy some milk at the some time. I'm cutting out squares from my flannels for another child's quilt.
Happy Birthday, Beth. Hope your day is delightful...
