I just discovered this site so thank you for adding me. I am a quilter and a knitter but do mostly quilting. Have been a quilter since 1984 and have set up my page with a few of my quilts will add more as time permits. I live in rural Idaho are there any other quilters from Idaho on here? So as not to repeat myself you can check me out on my page. Thank you for the add and I am looking forward to exploring what is going on around here.AnitaSee More

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I've lived all over. My Dad worked for aircraft companies so we lived in Ohio, Florida, Missouri, Arizona and Oklahoma. When I left home I went to work for Northwest Airlines and lived in Virginia and worked in downtown DC. Then I Married a guy in the Navy and followed him around for 20 years. We lived in California, North Carolina, Texas, Iceland, Arizona, back to California, Japan, Spain, Washington and now Idaho. I started quilting in January 1984 when I took my first class at the local Joann's. Started machine quilting in 1991.Quilted for other people until 2016 when I decided to spend some time quilting for me to see if I could reduce my UFO pile. In 2011 I started selling Accuquilt products so have acquired a few dies and more UFO's. I need to live to be 300 to use up my stash and finish my UFO's. That last sentence sounds like a Quilter's Lament.
How many quilts have you made?
Been quilting since 1984 so really don't know the number.
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I have gone way past addicted I am obsessed with making quilts especially since I started using the Accuquilt cutter and dies.
How long have you been a quilter?
What is your favorite quilting technique?
I like using my Accuquilt Cutter and Dies to piece quilts with.
Why do you quilt?
I like playing with fabric and trying out different patterns. I makes me happy and gives me an escape from stress.
Welcome aboard, Anita! If you select the " forums" button along top of home page, see " navigating this site" written by Rogue...very helpful to new comers. And you might consider joining a group ie: longarm, hand quilters, scrappy quilts, embroidery, and there are many swaps. If you have ufo's to deal with, we even have a group for that...ufo group gives encouragement and support. Use the tab " groups" to see them all...not sure if there's a group for your state.
