Glad someone is quilting!  I hit a dry spot, but I did manage to finish something over the weekend.  Hopefully I can think up another project soon!

Thanks for writing!

Hi Amy!  I haven't seen you around in awhile; what have you been up to?

Oh good!  You put up some pictures!  You sure do a nice job!  I need to branch out a bit because I've been making too many easy ones and need to get out of my box.  Since I mainly make them for kids now, I keep them pretty simple.  I figure I've been quilting long enough now that I should be able to step into the intermediate area!

Anyway, I'm glad you posted them!

Hello Amy....welcome to the wonderful world of Quilting...I live near Roseburg Oregon...I'm always happy to meet new quilters. I've been quilting for almost 20 years now...I began when my youngest started high school...looking down the road...I wanted to make sure I had something to occupy that 'empty nest' when it happened....and boy did it...I have a small business out of my home making custom quilts for others...quilting for others...and also selling Nolting quilting systems....the last part is very low key...and keeps me in 'fabric'...LOL....Feel free to pick my brain if you need to...Again...welcome to My Quilt Place~~~~

Hi again!  I have really been having a lot of fun here!  I don't have any "real life" quilting friends and already I have met so many nice ladies!  I hope I stay excited...I sometimes will join a group or something and quickly get involved but then get bored after awhile.  But this is different than say a yahoo quilting group.  There's so much more to do, which makes it more fun.

I live at the tip of Oregon, so Seattle is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from me.  I never go there...I rarely go anywhere!  We bought a fixer-upper house several years ago and it's totally drained us.  No vacations anywhere in years!  Now we wish we hadn't bought it and tried selling it.  We had it on the market for almost three years and recently decided to take it off until housing prices move up again.

My brother actually started me quilting.  I wrote about it on my blog because it was such a fluke that it even happened.  I always hated sewing, so it's kinda funny that I'm totally hooked on quilting now.  No one in my family sews or quilts, so of course everyone expected me to make them one.  And I eventually did.  Then I wanted to keep making them, so I started donating them.  Mostly to Quilts for Kids.  I also make quilts for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI), and sell them.  I recently sold 33 to one person...it was kinda sad seeing them all go at once.  But they were just taking up space and quilting is an expensive hobby, so....now I'm making more!

Well, I'm gonna go see what else is going on here!  Hope you're having a good weekend!

Hi Amy!  I'm Bridget and I live in Seasisde, Oregon with my husband of 28 years and our beagle, Mackenzie.  I've been here for a month now and I'm really enjoying it...there are so many nice people here!  As soon as I got here I joined several groups...machine quilting, piecing, traditional quilt, scrappy quilts, designing and a few others.  I also started a group for newbies.  I've been quilting for 6 years and had so much help from others in the beginning that I thought a newbie group would be helpful.  Plus, I have lots to learn as well!  I came here because there are no quilting guilds in my area and I got tired of being a lone quilter!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
