Hi Al, thanks... it take a bit of practice, but it can be done. Yours doesn't have to be this big, could start out with just 3 rows. Needs starch and a template made of muslin placed on ironing board. This makes all the diamond sections the same size. Janet or Jan Krentz has a book that I purchased to help me with this project. Very good instructions.
I haven't quilted it yet, but will soon. Have some others that need to get done first. My DH finally bought me a sit down Juki quilting machine. I love it. I use a pounce (chalk) marker and stencils to do overall quilting. Very easy to use. Also if you have time...check out Leah Day, she has lots of easy quilting designs that don't need to be marked, maybe you have already seen her work? But thanks for comment. I have made about 12 of these Lone Star quilts. Callie
