The pattern said how many pieces it had. About 1,000 in the border and another 1,000 in the main quilt part. It's from Joan Ford s book called Scrap Therapy.

:)) yes it does take a while to fill a bin up doesn't it? i did two w 2" squares a couple of years ago. then w working a row robin this past year i have gotten pretty low again. time to start building a new pile for another scrappy. love them!! cleaning & sorting scraps & fabric yesterday after christmas sewing, & decided next big scrap project will be a flannel scrap quilt for my son. it will be made from all the scraps of quilts i've made for his daughters since they were born.

Yes, I made it to the bottom of a big plastic tub of scraps. It's been about 8 years worth of scraps.

fabulous quilt! i love the jewel box pattern & i love piecing little scraps. never thought to count them though! :)) did you make it to the bottom of the bucket?
