Oh my , someone else is as crazy as me, I just finished this one to, don"t ya just love that Bella bella book.  I'll have to  post mine and let ya see another version of that same pattern.  I really had fun with this one, I just might have to do another.  By the way your quilt is great, I love the way you took the colors to the max.

HI Suzanne, here is the little write-up I did for the Quilt Show submission (I won a 2nd place ribbon by the way!!!):

I am fascinated with illusions in quilts, so when I first saw this design, I knew that I wanted to make one for myself.  The St. Mark’s wall hanging, one of the quilts from Nora McMeeking’s Bella Bella Quilts: Stunning Designs from Italian Mosaics, is usually made with 3 or 4 different fabric; the rainbow of colors was my choice.  I started this wall hanging in the spring of 2011, using the traditional paper piecing method.  When I was about one third of the through the medallion wedges I saw a tutorial on “paperless piecing” and switch methods.   The quilt was a lot of work, but the paperless piecing did make it a bit easier and I would recommend this method.  I think this is one quilt that will stay at our house instead of being given away like most quilts I make!

Absolutely exquisite, and the quilting impeccable!!  Well done!  May I ask where you found the pattern?

Hi Deb, I started it two years ago, but I did a lot of other smaller projects during that time.  There is no way that I could even give you an idea of how many hours it took.  I am just so glad that it is off of my design wall and DONE!  If it hadn't been for the goal of having it done in time for our Quilt Show, it would still be unfinished.  It is  st. Mark's wall hanging by Norah McMeeking.

It's absolutely beautiful! How long did it take you to finish it and is there a pattern name?
