It took about 3 months to make this one. I was quite happy with the results, but since I've only been quilting and embroidering for a little over 2 years, it was certainly a learning experience. Since I have yet to make two quilts alike, it seems they all are learning experiences actually. I really like pieced block quilts too, but I've found that I like the freedom of style so much more. Besides, if I have no rules to follow then I don't have to worry about breaking them. LOL
Wow I would love to do a quilt like this. I have wanted to for a long time. Very pretty.
Did you make this pattern up? It is lovely.
Thank you ladies. I spent a lot of time on this one. Jackie, I don't have a pattern for this one. I drew it up on the computer, printed out each layer on a transparency, projected it onto the fabric pinned on the wall and traced it. I did make some changes from the original design, but I'll be glad to send you the original file if you would like it.
this quilt is simply beautiful. i have 2 sisters with cancer and i was thinking of making their children a memory
quilt, this would be perfect. do you have the pattern or where could i find it.

Beautiful quilt I could see doing it for a family tree quilt with embroidered names and dates.
Great job on the quilt I am sure it will be treasured
Don't worry, only you will ever see the flaws. It's beautiful.
