I believe I counted the pieces in each of those stars--94 each. This looks like a very confusing  quilt but once I got  the idea in my head there was no stopping me. This was drafted on draft paper with the block sizes first, didn't even know what blocks I was gonna use, didn't even know the colors. then I seen those stars and couldn't resist. I guess you could say this is a scrap quilt, I didn't have any planned color scheme except I did want to start the center out in black and go to lighter greys towards the outer border. It kind of took  on a life of it's own as it grew bigger.  Hope you enjoy--hugs to all Cindy

I love improv quilting! You sure kicked it up a huge notch with those New York beauty- style additions...and those stars :-))

I was really messing around with this quilt. I didn't buy any fabric for this, I used what I had, that was my  intentions, to use what I had and nothing more. Think I'm gonna do this idea more often. It was really fun, you don't really know the end result. I designed the outside  border to fit this quilt.
