don't we all!! thank goodness we are smart enough not to go and disassemble our quilts to fix our percieved problems. i spent interminable hours unstitching small areas down to and then re-stitching my knitted sweaters years ago to fix what i thought to be glaring errors only to be teased by others who couldn't see what i saw. i learned. my quilts stay put, i just try to remember what i didn't like for the next one :)) ..i thought about that blue mountain. my brother traveled and lived in the blues years ago, but when hubs and i lived & traveled midatlantic region we never made it south to blues or smokies. only north to whites, greens, adirondacks etc. but remember brothers discriptions of the rich vivid hues that gave that mtn range it's name. of all your scenic quilts, i think this will be my fav also. i am partial to mountains. live in desert area w low mtn ridges all around. but i miss real mountains ...high mountains and all thier secret mysteries. maybe my next move will be back to the mountains :))

Thanks rogue, sometimes photographs are helpful to me when I'm designing. Maybe they can help you too? This turned out to be one of my favorite quilts, except that now that dark blue hill in front bugs me and I wish I had blended it in more. lol.  I always see things I need to do better in my own quilts...

Have a good weekend!

this is inredible! recent experience w our rr in ufo group w what i call "picture quilt blocks" reaffirms that this style of fabric imagry is beyond me. i just can not transfer image i "see" in my mind to fabric in front of me ...but i so love to see what others accomplish w this art form. this is so beautiful.
