I created this landscape quilt using long straight strips of fabric and appliqued the monuments.

Absolutely stunning!! My father in law wanted me to do one of the painted desert. I had no idea where to even begin such a thing. This is very inspirational!!

Thank you all! The quilt is nearly 80 inches long and 41 inches high. It is my new favorite of the quilts I've made over the last couple of years. I'm very happy with it, sometimes you start on an idea and you aren't quite sure it will work out, this is one of those 'experiments' or 'what if I do this...' kind of thing and it worked. Thank you again for the compliments. :)
