If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

We had rain early this morning...a down pour for less than a minute. Way east of here it has rained 3 days. I'm going to have to water the weeds in order to pull them out of the ground.

Riana - the Lady of the Lake quilt is awesome!

Thank you Riana and Karen for listening...I would talk to my doctor at my physical in a couple of weeks.  She tends to recommend counseling at the drop of a symptom.  I do know I need to watch water and food at the library--I forget.  Need a "feed the librarian sign, but you-no eating."

Riana - yeh!  now the binding!  I think they will blend also.

We won't have gardens if we don't get some rain soon.  It is raining cats and dogs up here (I'm up in the northern area near Dubuque, but D says we didn't get a drop at home.  He had to water again. I'm not worried about the stuff by the house, but the vegie garden is out by the farm and the well isn't working right now.

Beautiful work on the Lady of the Lake, Riana. I think your fabrics will blend beautifully with the other greens.

I agree, Linda. Don't overwork yourself on pushing to get things done all at once. Everything will come together in time.  You'll have it back to just how you want it to be soon enough. So much has worked out in your favor, the secret garden and repairs of the house will work out too.

Finally bit the bullet & pulled out my newest down duvet to measure. Yep the cover l was making for the old one turned out to be 15" short one way ( why l'd put it aside...lack of same fabric). But l've pulled some similar fabrics from my stash...since it's just a random patch pattern anyway, l should be able to continue. What do you think? Will they blend ok?

Oh boy, Linda :-) sewing machines...yay!l'll bet you're chomping at the bit to start back sewing. Don't worry, your garden will come along gradually, so don't overwork yourself.

I found my sewing machines! Just waiting for someone to show up to move all the heavy boxes so I can arrange and set up tables and get order back in there. I need to burn off some of the frustration and anger I'm feeling. What better way than to sew and be constructive?

Indy had his 6th birthday yesterday and I did nothing to celebrate. I was too exhausted. Usually we go to Dairy Queen and I buy him a hot dog, but they have closed. The grocery is too far to walk to get him some doggy ice cream, but tomorrow I'm going out on errands so will stop at the grocery and get some. We will celebrate a few days late. Today I finally had MY vet come and catch him up on his shots and got him started back on heartworm. He hasn't been to a vet in 18 months because she wouldn't pay for it...out of my money no less.

The audit began last week of my finances. Of course, she didn't provide everything needed which left many, many questions. Attorney may have to subpoena records. I got what I was able from investment accounts, but I didn't sign on checking so I couldn't get that information. Had a handyman come in and give me an estimate on everything that needed to be done on the house to get it back to where it was...Yikes!! The list of missing plants just in the secret garden is so long and I'm just starting on the beds in the back yard. Gave up on the front for now because I'll have to cut down the shrubbery and let it regrow. Will need help with that. Will also need help putting down all the mulch...20 bags. All of this expense gets reported to the court.

Funny, Dee! You haven't lost your sense of humor in all the moving confusion.
