Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget.  I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block.  Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood.  I love…Continue

Kris, do you want the center red, with white on the short sides and blue on the long sides?

Edit:  Correction on my post.  'united frame of MIND'

Kathy - I like that idea and will go along with it, even though red white and blue aren't exactly my colors, lol.  Not saying i'm not totally for America and getting her into a more united frame of mine, just commenting on the colors themselves!

My preferred block is a Log Cabin and I'd like a 12 1/2 inch (12 inch finished) block size.  Here is a pattern and tutorial:

Hello everyone and welcome to a great New Year of being friends and creating new friendships.  It is no secret that in the past 20 years, our country has grown farther and farther apart.  So this year I thought that we could join together to once again show what being an American is all about.  I truly believe in what our Pledge of Allegiance states, and I think that most of you do as well.

That being said, this year I thought that we could do our quilt blocks in Red, White, and Blue.  And instead of sending Christmas cards, we will send each other a block in that person's favorite traditional quilt block.  For instance, let's say Maria's favorite block is a Shoo Fly.  Then everyone will send Maria a Shoo Fly block in red, white, and blue as a Christmas card.

So, I will need for each of you to send me your favorite block, and the instructions and size you want for the block.  Some of our members may be beginners, so please keep that in mind when making your selection.  If you have a website that has directions and a video, please send that as well.  I will put all of this information in the Discussion Forum to make it easier for everyone to find.

Linda, I tried to send my questionaire- I noticed it said ( 2 pages, but when I look at mine it shows 3 pages- so if some is missing please let me know and I will try again.
I've been having headaches lately and my brain is still a little boggled sometimes. But every day is a new adventure. I am still going to Pt, hoping to be done the end of February.
