Well, I guess everyone knows that I finally met Linda.  We had a really great time with her.  I hope sooner or later that I will get to meet everyone in our group as we travel around the country.  This is one of my favorite pictures outside of Fort Stockton Texas.  I thought that people moved to AZ to get away from allergies, but I had itchy eyes and nose the whole time.  We had some of the greatest adventures ever.  When we bought our travel trailer, we joined Harvest Hosts.  And we have really enjoyed the ones we have visited.  We went to a place in Fredricksburg, TX, called the Lone Star Bar and Grill.  We stayed in the pasture where they keep their sheep, but had dinner at the open air bar.  Enjoyed their ribs and ice cold beer.  They had a gentleman who played the guitar and sang, old country, new country, and some vintage rock.  In between songs, he did stand up comedy that had us rolling on the floor.  Another of our stops was at a 100 y/o former dude ranch that was built around a ghost town in Sayre, Oklahoma.  The owner is a true Texas cowboy and my 4 y/o granddaughter feel in love with him.  He made us a steak and baked potato dinner, followed by a big bonfire and a little Texas two-step dancing out on the patio.  He danced with all the ladies there that night.  He was such a great host, we hated to leave.  We also stayed at an Alpaca farm where they had Alpaca Yoga.  And we stayed at a Big Game ranch on an Apache Indian reservation.  That night a herd of wild mustang horses came into the campground.  It was full moon and it was magical.  We sat real still in our chairs and they would come within 10-15 feet of us.  We head out again on Monday.  I can't wait to see what June brings us.

I like this, Kris!  Your setting really pulled all our blocks together.

What a great quilt, Kris.  I need to work on several of my blocks from past years.  Love your layout.

Yes, Linda, the t-Rex must have been vaccinated.

Oops - didn't get the photo of it on the rocking chair in the last post, lol.

Before I went in the hospital I pieced this little quilt from my SS blocks and the blue fabric that GInny gave me!

But....where is Beth's name block?  I can hear you protesting.  I had to make a pieced back, so Beth's block has pride of place there!

At the moment it is hanging out on my rocking chair.   Thank you all for my new lap quilt :)

Beth - what a sweetie pie!  You cuddle her all you can.  Prayers for your daughter as she gets back to normal.

HA - I just noticed in the photo that  t-rex is now sporting a band-aid on his arm. He must have gotten his covid shot! ROFLOL

Linda, great fun meeting Kathy and family.  You had the same awful wind we had here.  Need to get busy on my SS projects.

Friday I had a visit from Kathy Gurgone and her husband Joe and granddaughter Caroline. We went to lunch at Coyote Pause. Then Caroline spotted the t-rex with a face mask across the street at the rock shop....LOL! So we went over to get their photo. Unfortunately, it was a very windy day...actually it had been very windy all week. We had a lovely visit and it was great to finally meet in person especially since Kathy was my SS sister last Christmas.
