Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Come join the fun as we prepare Secret Santa packages throughout the year. There will be tutorials for gift ideas. Kathy will have surprise activities, maybe some "impossible missions". There are always lots of discussions so you can try to guess who your Secret Santa might be and to drop hints for gifts to your Secret Santa.

Well ladies, I guess I better add my name to this list before I forget. I would like a 12.5 x 12.5" scrappy string block. Recently, I have really gotten in the scrappy string block mood. I love…Continue

Colleen would like the same pattern used as Kris, but with a slight twist. She would like the center blue, the short side white and the long side red.Continue

Lee would like crazy blocks. 12.5 x 12.5" Red, Whites, and Blues, of course. I know that Lee likes live theater, so I was thinking maybe blocks that represented a different Broadway play. Even…Continue

Melanie has decided to join the log cabin group, so by now everyone should have the instructions for this on, as it has been the most popular block for our group this year. She would like the red…Continue

Agreed Colleen, I have some catching up to do as well.
New Grandbaby on the way!
Such fun to put a face with a name! Hi, Kris! I thought about you all last year and wondered...now I know! You and Kathy having real face to face time is so cool!
Be kind to yourself, Colleen! With your work schedule, you are accomplishing plenty, I'm sure!
Kathy, your travel adventures are fun for us living vicariously through you. I've really enjoyed your sharing all of the pictures.
Boy, I have some catching up to do! It seems like the days are a runaway locomotive and I am in slow motion. What used to take 2-3 hours now takes 2-3 weeks. I keep trudging along but it can take me a whole day to create one block. I will ( try) to spend a little time here and post some pictures/ things soon. I’ve been working 4 days one week and 3 the next— 11 hour days— every other weekend. Sometimes it takes everything I have just figuring out the schedule- and then catching up at home when I have 1 or 2 days off in between.
Ditto to everything Kathy said about yesterday! We had a wonderful time together exploring quilt shops in Lima. Unfortunately, my lovely little shop right here in Celina is closed on Thursdays, so I didn't get to show that off. Kathy has had wonderful adventures in her life and I loved hearing the stories! Here are pictures for you:
Just finished spending a fun day quilt shop hopping with Kris Howell. My husband, Joe, spent the day fishing with her husband, Tom. Then we all met up for dinner. The weather was wonderful, the company even better. It has been so nice being able to put a face with a name. I told Kris, the thing I will most remember about her, is her wonderful giggle. I hope sooner or later that I will get to meet all of you as we travel around the country. I know that I have not been on-line as much as I would like, but I still have all of you in my thoughts.
Kris, just google toothpick holder images. There are soooo many images to see!
And this week it will be my turn to meet Kathy!! She's stopping in my town in Ohio for a couple days. I'll keep you posted on our activities!
Beth - how's daughter and baby? How about a recent picture of baby, since we know they change so fast.
Trudyanne - did you get your kitchen renovations done?
Toothpick holders? I've never had one, lol, and don't know what to look for. Maybe those of you who have them can post a picture or two? I just have a box of them in the cupboard above the oven so I can grab one when I need to check baked goods for doneness.
Have a wonderful Independence Day weekend everyone.
Wow, sounds like you are having great fun. Enjoy your travels and making memories.
Cool Silhouette images, Kathy! We have something similar along I-90 with running horses. So fun to hear about your travels. Meeting any of us in person would be such a treat! So happy for you both.
Caroline will remember her great adventures for a long time, Kathy. She's a sweetheart. Sounds like y'all are having fun travels.
