Thank you for the beautiful block, Melanie! I finally got my mail after seeing the Kris got her block. Love the fabrics you used and the artwork on your card was just too cute!

Good for you, Melanie! I hope you are well on the mend and feeling more like yourself.

Well, it looks like I am going to finish my quilt blocks this week - at long last!  Kris - if you can send me your address, that would be great.  I had SOOOOO much fun doing log cabin blocks and ripping them out! The sizes were all over the place.   I finally bought a pad with the pattern and did some paper piecing. I also did one with a template that worked.  But I may be a while doing my quilt since I would like to do a 16-block quilt for the pattern and I'm not ready to do any log cabins for a while....

I am also working on a church audit or two that were due this week.  Waiting for some information and hope to finish early next week.

I have checked in on Needlespot and already got myself into trouble with the basket blocks.  Just can't seem to say no to starting new projects.  Where's Riana when you need her!

Have a great week ladies.  I am envious of all the remodeling going on.  We finished the bathroom and I would like to tackle more, but will wait for tax return.

Wilma and Linda, I got the SS block in the mail today. Thanks for forwarding it, Wilma. Thank you, Linda, for such a pretty block.

Ginny, I will try and mail your block this week.  Would you send me your address….all mine are packed LOL.

Yes, only 3.  I donated a bunch of scraps and fabric when we moved.  BUT I have 3 large boxes and 4 plastic (biggies) full of yarn.  I have 2 bad habits.

Only 3, Wilma?!! There are no quilt police allowed and we use our scraps in the way that we are happy with. It's ALL good!

Oh, and to put another charm on it all.  I did put up the star quilt on the design so it looks like I am doing something in there and I only need two blocks more.  Not sure who has not mailed to me, but no hurries, won't get to it till April anyway.  If all have mailed, then I can make me a couple blocks to finish it out.  Looks great.  Yeah I know, a picture would help, but you can't see it all behind my piles of stuff from office. LOL

Ginny does great crumb blocks.  I can't quite go there with those.  I do agree, some of my scraps are a good size.  Then those leftovers from quilts.  Geez, those are in there as well.  I have one complete tub (50 gallong tub) full of nothing but strips.  I am working on a project that I started I think 28 years ago that uses up strips.  Now to finish it.  It is a star quilt that I fell in love with.  It is at least half done.  I am cutting up a pineapple quilt with the scraps.  It is one of those that is on my bucket list.  Sure it would look pretty in two colors, but with all these scraps, will look extra special.  Some of my scraps are going into a scrap feathered star quilt as well.  These are all on the back burner again though till we finish upstairs carpeting and painting.  Dreading doing our bathroom though.  Hubby is wanting to totally renovate and I just don't have it in me or the budget.  Hopefully a little paint, new shower door, and mirrors will hold him over.
