Mary, it is OK to be 7 blocks behind … I am also!  Life has managed to just get in the way...BUT on the "bright side" of a dark side (my mom's place is on lockdown for a minimum of 2 weeks … preventive measures) and our clubhouse has cancelled all events here at Sun City and closed the buildings … I have NOTHING BUT TIME on my hands.  So I guess I can catch up on my PHD work and these 7 blocks.

Linda, glad you are home, but sad the "fostering" family is keeping Indy.  Has to be hard on you, but you need to concentrate on yourself right now and glad he is in a good home enjoying his new-found brother.

Welcome Trudyann to the SS Sisterhood.  Had such great fun last year.

Everyone stay safe, healthy and keep on sewing!!

Oh Linda!  It is good that Indy is loved so much...but how could the foster folk do this to you???  Paul and I have fostered many times...and succumbed to adopting, but I knew if the old family was found and could take the dog back - I would give it back.

Now I am 7 blocks behind.

Glad you are home Linda. Glad Mel bugged me to get my paperwork done as i tend to procrastinate. Now I need to get started on my monthly blocks.

Yes, Melanie sign ups end 3/31. Not much longer to wait.

I just got home 2 weeks ago from a month in the hospital from back surgery, It's been a bit of a struggle, but I have some wonderful neighbors that have been helping out. But some of them head back to their homes in the north next month. Hopefully, by then I'll be a bit stronger. I'm looking at 6 months to a year recovery time. Indy had to be put into foster care with the rescue group we belong to. Unfortunately for me, the couple that fostered him had the right to adopt which they did. But it's best for him as it would be months before I'd be able to care for him. He now has a fur brother to play with and he is completely retired as a service dog. His adoptive parents have been keeping in touch and have sent me photos. I'm going thru a grieving process. It's so quiet and lonely here without him.

I haven't been on the computer much since I've been home, but I'll try to get the ornament a month going in the next few days.

Yeah, Beth! You did such a wonderful job on Rissa's dress! It was even more gorgeous in person!

I had to use a different browser to be able to log in.  Not sure why, but finally get to say hello.

I did win at the Macusco Mid Atlantic Quilt show with my daughter's Chinese wedding dress.  I took Best Use of Embellishment.  Yeah!!

Sign ups end 3/31?  And here I thought it was 3/1 and as bugging Trudyann to get her paperwork in!  Now I'll have to wait another month to find out who my SSS will be....So far I've seen that Colleen, Mary, Beth, Kathy, Wilma, Linda, Lee, Kris, Ginny and Trudyann will be SSS this year.  Can't wait to see how many others join us!

I'm not a patient person, can you tell?  Quack. (Oh, that's another group, right!)

Working on my monthly blocks and STILL trying to get my craft room organized.

I made a ( muslin) inner liner first, holding the rice then a flannel outside for the soft. I microwave them for 1 minute- they are wonderful- hold the heat for 20-30 minutes.
