Kathy so sorry for your recent loss. Our daughter is 44 and has three daughters also. I can imagine what sorrow you are experiencing. May the Lord Himself comfort you in this great loss.

Kathy, so sorry for your loss. Your whole family must  still be in a state of shock that it came on so quickly. Hopefully you will all find solace in each other and with friends.Peace be with you.

Yesterday we had a Memorial Service for my daughter Kristina. She was 39, wife, mother of 3 girls, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece and friend to many. She passed away finding out on Dec 27 she had stage 4 cancer. I miss her terribly, life will not be the same.

So sorry to hear of your daughters far to early passing away. It sounds like she was a talented girl, like her mother. It would be very hard to part with those cherished works of art.

My kitchen is black and white, as is the rest of my house.  Everything else in the house is colorful.  My daughter was an artist, and when she was killed at 18 in a car accident, we painted everything in the house in white, black and gray, because I wanted her artwork to stand out amongst everything else.

It has been 15 years since that, and the things in the house have changed, but the wall colors have not.  We have lots of colorful artwork.  David Lebo and Romero Britto are some of my favorites.  Bright colorful and cheerful.

Wilma, l painted one  wall red in my office at work...loved it. I think you should stay with what's in kitchen too...those greys can " feel" awfully cold.

My kitchen has a red wall, the others are an off-white cream report.  I use accents of cream and soft green as accents.  I have roosters on the top of cabinets, which are cheery.  My counters are brown tones.  Keep saying I want to upgrade the colors to the grey tones, after all it has been this color for 12 years.  Hubby likes it as it is now.
