These mug rugs are wonderful...hope to finish mine up this week.  Went to California to watch grandson #4 (Gavin) play in his final Honors Orchestra program and the the High School Orchestra Festival for all the Orange County HS ... both were amazing.  Now back to business.

Mary, I made several more as well.  My husband wanted one, and my 2 year old grand-daughter took his, so I ended up making him another one.

I made 5 more mug rugs...can I give myself one early?  I will post them when our voting is over.

Oh Barbara, I love, love, love the sewing gnome!

I just have to put the binding on mine. I don't have an embroidery machine, so have to do it by hand. It doesn't look as uniform like machine embroidery.

Thanks so much Kathy and Lee.  It was fun to make.  That's what I think about all the mug rugs I see. However I think to wash in cold water by hand and lay it out flat to dry would work just fine. I like Ajax dish detergent for getting spots out of fabric. The needle is metallic thread so I wouldn't put it in the dryer, give it a steam press (around the needle) if needed and it should be just fine. I hope!!!

Barbara, I love, love, love the sewing gnome.  That is too cute.  I would never use it though because I would be afraid of spilling something on it.....LOL
