No problem. Oh you have to bring your own machine.

Hi Jean. There is a great group of ladies that meet at Anna's Sewing Center in North Olmsted every Tuesday and Thursday. It's a sit-n-sew event that the shop provides a sewing space. Just bring what ever you're currently working on, and have a day of sewing and chatting with like minded people. I am affiliated, however I only service the sewing machines at the shop.  Welcome to Ohio.

Welcome Cami and Jean. I'm in Bedford, OH. Closer to Cami than Jean. I haven't found too many quilters in my area until I started a quilting  guild, then a few came out of the woodwork. It took me 3 years before I finally found some local quilty friends. Good luck my fellow quilters. God's blessings.

Hello all!

I am a new resident in Silver Lake, Ohio. We are in the process of moving to our new house from Cuyahoga Falls. I grew up in Canal Fulton, but have lived in the Falls ever since. I am glad to see an Ohio group here.

i'm glad you enjoyed that little news snippet. when i was reading the headlines yesterday morning. that caught my eye - so just had to read it. sitting here cracking up sent it to dh and mil and decided to post here in ohio too. i thought wow...that is just what we need to take away the harsh edge of the weather reality for some of us. we usually get late spring snow here, none since jan...they are in the passes around us this weekend. and unusual for this time of year...heavy snow in seattle and other coastal areas. our snow pack is ok, but for most of the west it is too low. but in the valley here..they are already filling the irrigation canals, no measurable precipitation in last couple of months.. and worrying about the warmer than normal temps ..fast melt in the high country.. this is the major ag income area for the state of washington...weird winter. weird spring..so..the moment of phil levity was a welcome change from the dire prognostications of drought and flood and on and on and on .....

hope you are having a little sunshine this weekend :)) we did yesterday..and no WINDS!! yay...well...a little but i could stand up in it lollol!!

lol Rogue- I have always thought that if the groundhog doesn't see his shadow, the only thing it means is that the sky is cloudy.  Crazy that people are calling that poor rodent a liar and holding him responsible. I truly hope they all are just trying to be funny. This cold early spring is much better than last ear when we had record highs in the mid 80's! You can always put on more clothes ( or cover up with more quilts.) There are only so many clothes we can take off before someone is calling the cops.

ok, i have spent a winter in ohio that had the lowest timperatures & the lowest wind chill temperatures in the, at that time, 180yrs of temperature record keeping. we had a lot of snow that year too. i have pictures from pensylvania of our then, local fire station where we were living a few years later. they had the annual easter egg hunt notice up for that weekend of march 30. which was a bit of a difficult read with the depth of the snow around the base. course that had been a bad winter too. one storm alone dumped 34 inches of snow around our house...on the flat..no drifts.

so..i understand the importance of phill's weather/spring arival predictions. but this, i think, may be a bit of an extreme reaction to the poor little furry rodent's erroneous forecast for this spring. come on Ohio...lighten up! the death penalty!?! lollol

Hey Lisa, how's life going? How was your sister's wedding? Things slowing down any? Perhaps there's still a small chance of getting together?
