Oh my gosh! it's not even August yet and I'm just chomping at the bit to go fabric shopping either in my stash or at my favorite quilt shop for our mystery quilt.  BTW, when I go to the quilt shop on Monday I'm telling them all about this great opportunity to join us for the modern mystery quilt. I can't wait...I'm going to start pulling fabrics from my stash that might qualify for the mystery quilt.

Not that I don't have enough UFO's and other quilting projects!  LOL  so I thought I would this.  I'm new to this site and thought this would be the place to have fun.

I couldn't help myself. I was in a quilt store today and bought some fabric in anticipation.  Hopefully I did all right, otherwise I'll have to plan another modern quilt

Really excited to be in this group! Have not made a mystery quilt for a long time and look forward to the fun!

I have to admit that this will be a huge step out of my comfort zone as the modern quilt movement has not been my cup of tea. However, I am excited to begin this journey and open my eyes to something new. I was unable to keep up with Rainbow  R. but since my stroke have been trying to make time for me, so this will be a great way to do that.

Chef Lisa I hope you have recovered from your injury.

I am looking to join in as a concession to my awaited surgery to help pass by the recovery process. I'm a 30 year quilter with 20 being an art quilting. I recently returned to quilting after a severe injury working as a Professional Chef. Hoping this mystery quilt will give me enough time to do the parts that will be published so I can keep up with the Quilt. I will post happy thought s of this Mystery and its progression. Happy Quilting Everyone!

I love mysteries!  I think it's a great way to improve your skills since you are concentrating on one hint at a time instead of making a mad dash to the finish line!!  I can't for it to start!

Ada, I'm with you. I am so interested in the new Modern Quilt movement and don't know where to start. So this Mystery quilt will be wonderful.  I notice with a lot of modern quilts I see on the net there is a lot of white or light color?

Looking forward to it, though wish I knew fabric choices as there are several good sales going on in August

I was wondering what to do until I get my ideas for Christmas.  Now I have something!
