I used my hand dyed and batik fabrics for my Modern Mystery Quilt. I hand quilted with multi-colored thread.
@Marcia--thats Great!
I was lucky enough to have my version of this fun pattern accepted into the Des Moines AQS show this year. It was fun to see that quilt in among the rest of the modern quilts in the special exhibit AQS had this year! I'd love to do another one - still think about learning how to do circles for the first time with this on!
block of the month sounds interesting.....cant wait!
AQS has not invited us to do another. If they do, we'll submit something but we assume that they try to provide different types of events for their membership. We are considering a Block of the Month though. Stay tuned.
when the next mystery quilt is being offered????? Bill...Weeks? any idea? would love to do another one, I have all these bits and pieces I need to use up, maybe I should just go ahead and do one up myself, using 7"blocks, 5" block, and 1 , 2 1/2, and 4" strips, any idea???? Been cleaning up all my left overs.....
Well done, Denise and Patricia! I have just donated mine to Quilts of Valor, presented in November, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next Weeks and Bill Mystery Quilt!
My one was finished a while ago but now it is hanging in our bedroom. I wake every morning and remember the fun I had making it including the quilting. One of the other members did a smaller version but I loved how she emanated from the centre circle. It was only after the fact that I realised her one was doll size. My quilting took days..
