Fabric Pre-cut Swaps

This group is designed to swap fabric that is pre-cut to a predetermined size for different types of projects.

The idea behind this group is to use your existing fabric stash to get rid of some of you extras pieces from other projects, while obtaining new colors and patterns to help you complete new projects.

This is how it works:

Start with 12 ziplock bags.  In each bag you will insert the number of pieces of fabric designated for that particular swap.

Send in 11 of the bags with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive to same number of bags sent in by the other participants.

If fewer than 12 people participate, you may receive duplicate bags from the other participants.  If more than 12 participate you may not receive a bag from each participant, but you will receive at least 11 different bags.

Please keep track of your USPS tracking numbers, as I cannot be responsible for lost or missing packages.

Ladies, it is time for me to say goodbye, at least until June 6th.  Otherwise, I will never get my packing done.  I volunteered to keep the baby entertained on the Atlanta to Paris leg of the trip.  At least it is at night.  But I don't know what my daughter-in-Law was thinking when she booked the return flight.  It leaves Copenhagen at 1:30pm with a long layover in NYC and we don't arrive in Atlanta until  14.5 hrs after leaving Copenhagen.  It will take me days to recover.  LOL  I will need a vacation from my vacation.

I have posted the next fabric swap for anyone who might be interested.  I am trying to post them several months in advance to give more people a chance to sign up, and to be able to check on their scraps and projects that they want to participate in. I am open to any requests or suggestions that anyone has.  Thanks for joining.

I just wanted to remind everyone who lives in the USA, that if you want to send me a check with your swap fabrics for $7.35, I will be more than happy to send your swaps back to you in a flat-rate envelope.  The post office is getting more restrictive about packages and on the last swap they returned one of the envelopes because it had multiple stamps on it.  They said that multiple stamps on flat-rate envelopes were unacceptable because they had to be hand-cancelled.  Ridiculous, I know, but they made me pay for a single postage label to re-mail the package.

Also, we still have openings for the April swap and plenty of time left to join in.  Please let me know if I have missed listing anyone.  Thanks

Now May is not showing up.  Oh well, you will just need to click on "View All" to see what swaps you might be interested in.

I am so pleased with the amount of participation we are getting with these swaps.  It is so much fun.  I am trying to make each swap different.  The amount of fabric in each swap will change slightly, but I am trying to make the total of each swap, enough to do a wall hanging or small lap quilt.  That way if you get a bunch of fabric that you don't care for, or is not your taste, then you will be able to make a small lap quilt for charity, which is always greatly appreciated.

Also, I am not the fabric police, so I do not judge what anyone sends in.  I just ask that everyone send in good quality fabric, the kind you would like to receive.  I understand that we have members from all economic settings, but please ask that you do not send in something that is totally unacceptable.  Thanks everyone.

We are having a July swap, I don't know why it is not showing up on the feed.  But if you click on the "View All" you will be able to see it.  It is for 2 1/2" WOF Batik swap.

Are we skipping a July swap? I know summer gets crazy. Just noticed the swap list jumps from June to August. Wanted to make sure it’s not a ( blooper)

Sorry ladies, I have been out of town for a few days.  Celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday, then went to visit with Chef Lisa.  We had a blast together.  She took me to a quilt shop on Sanibel Island called Three Crafty Ladies.  Oh my gosh, what a great little shop.  They had the most wonderful selections of batiks and nautical/beach prints ever.  Could have spent a fortune in there, but Lisa kept me under control....LOL

Thanks everyone who is joining us in this group.  We still have plenty of openings for April.  It is only (2) 10" pastel batik squares per bag, so check out your fabric stashes and see if you would like to join us.
