Sherry Z. - My comment was directed to Sherri E. However, it's nice to meet you. How do you like QATW? I found it difficult to navigate. What other sites do you belong to?

Thank you Linda. I also joined QATW. Love my quilting addiction and although I have little time for me, it helps keep me sane.

Haven't been on this site for awhlle,  but lately "addicted to quilting"  seems to apply to me.  When I go to bed I am thinking about tomorrow and how many blocks I can finish for my current project.  When I am nearing the end of the current project I begin designing the next one in my head.  right now I m addicted to scrap quilting.  Finished a twin size quilt a couple of weeks ago,  then started a modern design and that one I completed earlier this week.  Now I am working on a scrappy baby quilt using a Bonnie HUnter design.  And I am having so much fun pulling out little pieces of fabric that I thought I would never use to make this one.  I normally don't work on a project with blocks this small.  these are only 5" .  finished.  but so far they are going together well.  We have an RV getaway planned for next week and will be away for about a month.  What will I do without this addiction being fulfilled while we travel ?? I have a small machine in the RV,  but I do not enjoy sewing  with it.. I miss my Janome when we travel,  but it is just too big to haul around the country.  Although I may take it to AZ this winter.... Didn't sew a stitch last winter,  but I was ill most of that time and would not have even if I had my good machine with me.  Regarding truing to find quit shops in new areas... I usually google the state I am going to and bring up a lists of shops in the area I will be in.  When I go to one, there is usually a small newsprint advertiser  with events and quilt shop articles that I can either buy or pick up for free.  That will help me find shops in the area I am in.   Today will be an off day on my piecing going with a couple of friends south of here to IKEA store.  My favorite shopping experience aside from quilt shops. of course.

Hello, my name is Beth and I am not addicted to quilting, as my husband says, I am obsessed.  Does that count?

I'm with you there, Kathy. I love making gifts for my friends and family.

I love to break away to the sewing room when things get crazy in my world. I am blest with a great family and enough free time to sew when I want and what I want. I love to make "quilty" gifts for friends and hope they love them as much as I enjoy creating them.

Maybe she was afraid they would keep coming...

I know what you mean.  I offered to send some of my UFO's to my Mother, but she refused.
