If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

It's a sad day here on the site.  I am still ironing squares - there are so many.  A friend dropped in yesterday to see Macska and I showed her all the squares.  She said that I would never finish with them.  They will be good for tops and backings. Erla Gudrun has a Hey June Quilt Along this Saturday on  I am going to do it.  I have the picture of the quilt and the fabric requirements.  It starts 9 am Central Time.  Riana, do you know whether that is 1 hour or 2 hours after EDS?

Barbara, I am glad you can be there to help your husband with all of this. If he wants to let something go, but has memories of things- take pictures of the items, this is what I am doing with what my mom let's go. I am sorry for the loss. Rest and be safe.

Linda, I am glad to be up dated with your mom. Heaven is getting really full with so many angels.

Sending you sympathy and energy for the tasks ahead.

Barbara, sorry to hear this. It's hard to lose a parent, especially the sole remaining one...makes one feel an orphan. Drive safe. It will be emotionally taxing doing the clearing out for Collin...especially if there are childhood memories flooding out at the sight of some object. Finding my dad's old pipe in a drawer had me in tears all over again.

Barbara, so very sorry to hear about Collin's mom. My God give you and the family peace during this difficult time. Have safe travels.  Will keep you in my prayers.

My mom is still hanging in there. They have her on pain and breathing meds every 4 hours.

Looks like the censor police got you, Liz!!! LOL

I did quite a bit of ironing of my squares and I finished the Nativity Quilt top.  It is cooler here today and I wore a sweater when I went to the drug store to pick up a p***********.

Barbara, I am so sorry to hear that your Mother-In-Law passed away.  Please accept my condolences and let Collin know that his Mom is in my thoughts and prayers.

Linda, Collin's mom passed away this morning at 11:00 am. We will be going to Connecticut tomorrow and may be gone for a few weeks as there is a lot of packing up and cleaning out of the house that has to be done. Go ahead with the party in Tiny Town without me. I'll leave my cake and dish before I go.

Riana, We were lucky here. The tornado hit about 45 miles west of us.

Elizabeth, I did have fun looking at the woman's things and keeping what I can use. I feel good about sending the rest on.

I need to sew, but I need to clean for my niece coming here too.  We will make her a quilt while she is here.

I responded to a post on Sunday of a woman who is a member of the quilt guild I belong to.  She was offering a bag stuffed with flannelette squares.  I picked them up yesterday and gave her a Thank You card and promised to send her pictures of the quilts I make with the squares.  I put them into the wash immediately upon arriving at home even though she told me they were pre washed.  I smoothed out each square after they were washed and put them in the dryer.  Now I am ironing each one.  What a lot of squares.  I will have to recut each one and start sewing when the ironing is finished.  Zoe, I can't resist anything quilting related.

I am ready to make the 2 borders for my Christmas Nativity Quilt.  I work on it in between the squares.  Lots of fun!
