If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Made this 4 years ago. Finally had Beth quilt it for me and I finished the binding the other day. A friend's sister bought the fabrics (except the muslin) just before she passed.

Wilma, how understanding of you to consider your mom's need for a hug, but also the danger it can bring her.l hope you can get an outdoor visit with her...l'll bet she really misses having visitors...even very confused people get lonely.

Gail, this plus an underbed size flat bin of fabric for backing , and 5 panels on hangers is my " stash of yardage". I have 3 times this amount in strips, various cut squares , and oddly shaped pieces, l keep in drawers, though. I save everything over 2.5" square. Smaller bits are either in a clear shoebox (for applique) or used in doggie beds for shelter. I only buy fabric when on sale...who can afford $18./ m for fabric for quilts that are donated? (A meter is nearly 40")

Zoe, you need to take care of yourself.  I'm sure you are feeling tired with your B12 and iron down.  Several years ago I got to feeling so tired and fatigued that hubby insisted on takeing me to the ER.  They ended up keeping me for several days because it turned out I was anemic and very low on iron.  They ended up giving me three units of blood and some iv iron.  The iron looked so disgusting that they put a little bag over it so I could not see it, but ofcourse I had to see what they were covering up.  UGH!

It's nice to know that we have someone to send our UFOs to, Riana.  I'm glad to kow that there are other people that don't know where some of their fabric came from or what they were going to do with it in the first place.  It's almost like new when you discover it.  Ofcourse then there's the stuff you are certain you have, you just don't know where it is.

I got the test results back, yep, I was low on them, more so on the B12, but iron needed to come up too.  Today was my weight in day, I decided not to weight but once a month and on the same day, 5 more pounds off !! Yeah, now I have taken off 12 pounds !! I keep hoping this will help my foot issue, not too much help yet, but the weight and so much more needs to come off for all health issues. If I can keep this up, in a year I should be at my goal weight.  Went back to some yard work, but sewing will be going on all weekend.

What a nice thing you did, Wilma, doing the embroidery on the backs of the jackets your friend wants to give her grandkids!

When Hubby and I go out for our walks, he has his walker and we both wear masks outside and inside when we leave our condo.  When we see people coming on the sidewalk towards us, I always decide and how we will socially distance and tell Hubby.  I notice a number of people will also decide how to put distance between them and us and I always thank them when we do pass safely.  Walks are friendly when people are thoughtful.  I'm smiling under my mask.

All the Dizzy Lizzy blocks are done as I have redesigned the quilt into 4 quadrants for QAYG.  And I'm working on quadrant 1.

You ladies have all been so busy.  My mojo seems to have taken a trip...maybe quarantine/stuck too long.  My Bunco group cancelled for the rest of the was a no-brained/social game but fun.  Sometimes I even won.  We stopped in March with first shutdown and will stay away til next year.  Mom will be 99 on Sunday, hoping they will let us do a semi-real visit on the patio...we are purposely not celebrating since she was hysterical last year because her dad wasn’t there.  Since we cannot physically comfort her if that happens again, we are waiting.  Finished up 3 of 5 jacket backs for a friend whose embroidery machine is in need of repair.  She wants to take for a visit to see her grandkids.  Was a nice break to embroider kids denim jackets with fun themes.  Hope everyone is staying well...hubby and I laugh every day as we remind ourselves we are “old” now and amongst the “vulnerable group“...whoever thought!

Riana, you did a nice job on my UFO!  I'll look through the remaining 165 UFOs and NESYs and find something else and send it along after you have sufficient breathing space.

I am trying to think where I could have acquired those 2 kiddy prints.  I used to buy a lot of tea cup auction tickets to support the U.S. quilting guild I belonged to so I won lots of nice stuff when the tea cup auction was held at quilt camp.  I just loved going away every summer and often in the Spring to quilt camp.  And more than a few years ago I realized that I was not up to the adventure anymore.  I had seen it gradually coming!

Gail...our local library in nearby town of Tweed is reopenning Aug 11...protocols in place are mandatory masks, and 4  patrons in building at one time only.; computor terminals ( 2 only) can be reserved for 30 min. , but meeting rooms off limits. Curbside service remains available for those who are not yet comfortable accessing building. Sigh. It's a start.
