If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Great read, Ginny!

Tiny Town is officially complete! I used clear thread both sides to keep it from looking " scribbled on " at the back ( plus so many colour changes would've been needed). Now l will store it until the fundraising sale in spring. I will post the photos on my page later today.

Had to share this piece of history and amazing commitment. Enjoy!

Elizabeth - parachuting and para sailing are on my bucket list.  My brother used to fly planes for a company out of Las Vegas that did parachuting and bungee jumping.  He did both as well as fly.

Riana - so glad Carla is fine!  Glad you enjoyed that zipline.  A different brother did one in Costa Rica and loved it. Kudos to your hubby for trying it.

Barbara - my heart goes out to you over the loss of your friend. I'm glad you have many pictures of her along with the ones in your heart.

I just heard from Carla Walton! She is fine, thank heaven, and has finished her niece & nephew's quilts and has been sewing masks these past 2 months.. MQP hasn't been working well for her, so she's not on it much.

Linda, your quilt is beautiful.  Love how the baskets are so colorful.

Barbara, sorry to hear about your friend.  Has to be very difficult and unexpected.  Remember all the good times and fun.

Elizabeth, your grandd sounds lime an adventurous soul, lol. I've done parasailing behind a speed boat on a few occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed it...hubby not so much, lol. Then when in Hawaii ( Maui) we both did zipline on really huge high trees above waterfalls, cliffs and gorges...very exhillerating and you need to be in pretty good physical shape. Hubby wasn't so sure he limed it at first, but by the end of the 3 hr " line" was very comfortable and good at it. I should mentikn my hubby is terrified of heights, so l must give him bonus points for being a great sport :-))

Thank you ladies for all your kind and caring words. Marilyn will be greatly missed. Pics of her are in my pics. Pg 5 fall leaves table runner. Pg 6 a seashell pillow I made for her.Pg11 Table runners and one special seashell table runner that we won a ribbon for. She spent the summers in Florida and was in a group that did all kinds of things with seashells. She's holding the one we made. Every summer we did our sewing together weekly. Linda, this is not the same lady we went to the quilt expo with, that was Chris. It's so hard to believe she is gone. Just saw her and she seemed fine. She sent me emails from the hospital, after surgery she took a turn for the worse. It was so unexpected. The memorial service is not until Sept 4th. She has family all over the country. She didn't have a sister so she called me Sis. She was always kind.

Gail so sorry about your back troubles hope they give you all the help you need to recover from the pain.

I know, Gail, if I told my Dr. about my back and foot pain, he would send me for x rays and then give me a p*********** for physio.  He wouldn't send me to a specialist.  We've been through this for years.  Only once did it deviate and I had my hip replacement assessment after the x rays and physio.  And if I get to physio, they want me to come forever and for hours 3 times a week.  I won't go to physio during covid and I doubt if the Dr. would even see me in person.  And he would never give me anything for pain - he hasn't the whole time I have been going to see him.  You only get pain pills if you have an operation and that is only for a limited number of days with no refills.

I worked on two BOMs yesterday and filled some bobbins and that was it for me, aching back.  I have an appointment with spine and pain doc on the 25th and I can't wait.  This has been going on since January and haven't been able to see doc in the office since March and I hope we will be able to get some progress.  Just taking a shower is painful as well as any arm motion, I'm readyfor this to be better.

Thanks Kris. I'm currently working on my Secret Santa exchange blocks and some samples for Indy's Doggie Designs...just small items. Not really ready to make quilts yet...altho my pansy quilt is still staring at me from the design wall.
