If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

@Beth .. I have one of those ! Mine has crushed walnut shells for the filling -- what's in yours ? I bought it at a quilt store I stopped in betw me and Branson last March .. haven't made it yet  LOL

BUT I do have a good report -- I FINISHED THE CHALLENGE QUILT LAST NIGHT or was it early this am since I couldn't sleep til after 1am  ?  WOO HOO !  Sorry to report I don't have a good pic yet, going to take one of my quilt frame's rails and make a jute tie for both ends of the rail to tie onto the plant hooks on the back deck so I can get a good pic. Usually I pin the quilt on the rail and hubby climbs up on the roof and lets it hang down .. I can't wait til he gets home this weekend to take a pic.

However, I didn't make it to fair to make any entries this year .. oh well.  There's next year. I got called in to sub this am as the original sub was sent to the WRONG school district .. so I was the backup .. hahahaha

Now for chores .. seems like I'm behind this afternoon .. almost 7pm and I haven't collected eggs, seen the flock .. altho' the dogs ate their dinner already  hahaha

I saw these a while back (at least a year) and thought cool, so since I had already cut things up, needed to finish them.  I did them at first because i liked them, but entered in a pincushion swap so gave me motivation to finish them.  I think the smaller one is neater than the larger.  the largers is pattern requirement.  just had some smaller squares to use up.  I think i am going to make one more out of the last of the triangles instead of putting in the scrap pile and then use for the craft show.

Beth , those are really cool, are they for someone or something ? or did you just have to try them out?

Finished these pincushions last night.  So glad I am getting this fabric done with.  I cut so much of it up.  They were fun and the handwork was not really that bad.

Hi Cheri,

I really like the quilt that you made for your nephew.  I'm sure he will love and treasure it.  Did you do all the photo transfers?

Not only do i have my own ufo's to finish and wip's but I inherited my aunt's and my mom who went to a quilt class with me has now asked me to finish the project that she started because she says I can't do it.  I told her to bring her sewing machine and ufo to my house and we will finish it together.  That way I can sew my own wip while she is working on hers.

Welcome to the club, that is the sign of a true quilter.  I think we all have aqd (attention quilting disorder).  We start one project then it is oh I like that one so we start it.  Either that or we buy the fabric and then say too many pieces to cut before I can sew, etc etc etc.
