If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

dee-agreed! no one else fall down please!! pot roast sounds so wonderful, our icy east wind is wafting the savory smell this way :)) i have black beans on to soak for tomorrow night. i save BBQ pork rst bones and meat scraps in the freezer all summer for my bean pots. he has to have meat. three times a day if he can. i can eat beans three times a day .. compromise. it was in the fine print on that piece of paper we signed lollol

thanks all ..i do try to be careful. my wrists & hands are very arthritic. lots of knobby growths. falls are excruciating pain when it happens, so i do try to be very very careful this time of years.

marcia-i often have little debates w self --what would i regret the most, loss of hearing (a world w/o birdsong) or my vision (never see the beauty of the natural world again). never stopped to think about taste! oh me oh my ... since my pudgy little self soooo loves wonderful tastes & smells ...i guess i should add those senses to my musings also! have the doctors given you any idea about how long it will be before you are fully recovered?
...and don't worry about the cinnemon rolls, they won't go to waste! i'll eat 'em for ya!! :))

Oh Marcia, thank the good Lord you only had concussion!  I'm so sorry you are going thru this but the great Healer  seems to be there taking care of you. But you  will be added to my ever growing prayer list. Please no more falls. That's my department!!

Marcia ~~ please take care of yourself, or hope you have someone watching over you during this long recovery.  I'm so sorry you can't taste your fav cinnamon rolls .. I hope your taste comes back !

And Rogue ~ I feel ya ... went to town to get hay for Shadow ~~ we are expecting rain and sleet and mix tomorrow night ~~ thought I would try to do grocery shopping too, but didn't make that as I fell on the carport whilst attempting to put the wheelbarrow away .. that's right .. on the knee I fell on back in May that still has a bursa on it that still hasn't gone away .. now it's a different color and swollen .. tomorrow we have our Thanksgiving meal after church and i am bringing roasted sweet potatoes and rolls ... should have made them much earlier today but i wanted them to be as fresh as possible. And standing on my feet while knee is throbbing to cook, I should be sewing not throbbing  lol

So, sweet potatoes are done, roll dough is rising .. and now to make pot roast for Doug as he will be coming home from work after a frozen night on the road ... need stick to rib meal for him before he goes back to bed ..

Now .. nobody else can fall down please ...

Marcia, do the docs have hope of your sense of taste coming back??? I can't imagine that. makes  me so sad for you.

Rogue, hope you heal from the fall.  Do be careful out there.

Geez Rogue, I hope you didn't break anything in your wrist.

Thank you all for your kind comments - I did the stupidest thing today. We went to Sam's club, and I saw my favorite little mini cinnamon rolls.  Had to have them -got home, opened the package and started eating one only to remember that I can't taste anything.  I was so bummed.

Finished quilting on the embroidered roses/wedding ring to bind it, then l'll post photo.

Yikes Marcia & Rogue! Those falls are so dangerous! l hope you both get over the resulting injuries real soon.

We don't leave for Fla. 'til just after Christmas ( weather permitting). Yes, Marcia, we've been to Disney world, gone on a couple of shorter rv stays, and last yr. checked out the place we're staying this yr.

carla i didn't do it! 'ol man winter did. broke my little valves and sprayed the sidewalk. but i guess i shoulda waited til brain fully engaged before wandering out to work on it. usually the first fall happens on the deck when i go out to fill bird feeder. next week they say snow/rain mix + continued below normal freezing temps. i'll be more careful then, tho frozen wood surface still better landing pad than frozen water on concrete IMHO :)) !!!

mug rugs? you expect me to put my hot mugs on mug rugs?! but ..but ..but he told me NOT to! :)) ..i rec'd some beauties in the mail that will go on my kitchen wall ...not under my kluzty mug holding arthr controlled hands :))

karen, such great winter greeting! gonna use it w friends here at home and online, w that thought i'll bid you all adieu for anon ..and remember!

"Stay warm, dry & upright!" :))

Rogue!!! you are not suppose to make your own ice to fall on! wait for old man winter he will tend to that for you...though I know he had a part in this one too! . I hope it is your is time now for coffee, hot tea, cocoa and mug rugs. :)

Rogue - now that you got that over with you don't need to worry about when you are going to fall for the rest of the winter!

Marcia - do take care of yourself and give yourself total time to heal!  You are in my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.

Mary - love the hair and love the house!  You have an awesome place!  My kind of house in the woods.

I hope all of you get your gardening done so you can stay inside and not deal with it during this frigid temps.  We are waiting on snow today and I am excited.  Could snuggle up in my pjs and sew all day!

Dee - thanks for sharing the beautiful quilts!  I love the blue feather star and will now have to do one!  Am working on a red and white challenge quilt this year for guild.  I have always wanted to make a red and white because they are my favorites of my Great Aunts.  A blue in white is also on my list.  Hadn't decided what to make it in, but I think I know now.  The museum sounded great!  Love those places!!!

Stay warm, dry and upright!!!!
