If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Linda, I hope your son comes out of the covid and decides it's time to visit his Mom.

Liz, I agree with Linda your quilt is a beautiful wonder, the hard work of a scrappy back and gorgeous front. Love the kitty on the beautiful front.

Elizabeth, that girl who told you about the number one is wrong. You are sad because you loved him and miss him, this is natural. It takes time to find a new normal, but you will. I love spending time with my mom, I keep trying to hard to get things in shape so that we can just enjoy our life and it seems that this home will never be in shape, but I am still trying. I hope one day I don't look back and think, why did I not spend more time with my mom recording memories.. so that is another thing I need to do.. record her stories.  You have special memories that you recall with your husband, please write them down for your kids.. tell the good and the bad.

Linda, no it was not for that quilt.. and I have not gotten to the fabric yet and mailing anything off to you.. it is not on my list.. need to put it on the  But, I do hope to get that to you soon. My mom is going in this week for her second shot, so I might be more attentive to her.  I am sorry that your son got covid, I hope it will not be bad for him. If he is on FB and you can't see him.. message me... I can try.

Riana, I cannot wait to see your floors when they are all done.  Have you put your home on the market in FL?

I think ( I hope) I get to see some of the cabinets this week in my new quilt room. When I was outside in the back yard, I have kept hearing a fan sound. But each time I would go up into the new quilt room, the ac was off. So, I just kept dismissing it. Well, yesterday I went back up and wondered, could the  attic fan be working?? My mom said it has never worked in the 30 years she has been here.. yes !!! It was on !! What I don't know is if the electrician played with it. That room is so hot in the summer, so that might help move the hot air out !! Yeah !!!

Elizabeth, I think the back of your quilts are so much fun !!!

Liz, I think more work goes into the scrappy backing than on the beautiful fronts! LOL

Liz, that quilt is stunning. And look at all the lovely quilting!

Only one more border to sew on the dog quilt, ( tomorrow's job) then l need to think about what can go on back. Hubby finished floor sanding , so l had to vacuum the floor and wainscotting and wash the walls so no sanding dust gets on the finish when it's applied.

So sorry your son has covid, Linda.  I hope that you find out that he has recovered.  Is there any way you can get more information from some other source?

I am feeling blue today.  I had a spark of sunlight this afternoon.  I quilted with Riana.  She kept running out of thread as she sewed.  Her Doggie Quilt is looking really great and it is getting larger and larger as she adds more borders.

Happy Easter everyone! He is Risen! Alleluia!

Zoe, you're funny! Was the fabric for the quilt we were talking about?

Found out yesterday, my eldest son in Ohio has Covid. I don't know details as he hasn't talked to me in 11 years. My DIL (his ex) told me but our conversation was interrupted and she hasn't called me back yet. I'm heartbroken.

Zoe, you are an inspiration to me!  You work so hard  outside and you make so many people happy - witness all your little friends!  I received a gift biscotti from a neighbour I just met last week for the first time.  What a nice thing she did!

I'm going to take my shower now after I've started my day here with you.

Happy Easter to Everyone!  I had a lovely dinner with my son and his wife.  We ordered two different kinds of wings - honey garlic and garlic parmesan, and fries.  I got 4 drinks and a Ben and Jerry' s ice cream which we put beside a piece of red velvet cake.  It was my treat!

They left after watching a basketball game which I coloured through in my new colouring book.  I then watched an Aurora Teagarten mystery until the News.  Lisa ordered 2 panels for a quilt for her niece.  She wants a disney panel on both sides.  I will have a tight deadline to make it after it arrives for her birthday in May.

Zoe, thank you for saying I'm doing well.  I cried yesterday afternoon when a friend told me that the reason we are sad is because we are no longer No. 1 with a significant other.  My son and daughter told me she is wrong that you just need a few really important friends or family members in your life and the number does not matter!

Elizabeth I think you are doing amazing ! I know it is hard. I think it is so wonderful that you are reaching out to be with others in every fashion possible.

Riana, that is such a cute doggy quilt, is that a pattern you designed?

I ordered some pretty fabric online and when it came in, I forgot what I was going to se it for.. oh, well.. my stash will grow more. I really must stop buying fabric.

The other day I had the pleasure of having three kids come over to help me with yard work- for pay. There was a 7 yr old, 9 yr old and 10 yr old. The 7 yr old did all he could to find weeds, I thought he did amazing for his age. The 9 yr old did the best, she could work and talk, the 10 yr old worked some, but wanted to talk more. I still paid them all the same as I had a ton of fun building relationships with them. At Christmas I had made them pillow cases, but I never heard much about them, so I asked if they enjoyed them, they said yes, we sleep with them every night !

I am still stretched thin, still planting, cleaning out and waiting for the cabinets to go in.. he is working on them. Did I tell you he is also an actor.. maybe one day I can brag about who built these.

I am thinking of planting mondo grass in the back yard all in this one area. I could still mow it, it would be green year round and nothing can destroy it. I have a lot of mondo grass that I pulled out of the front. I am thinking of adding a large flower bed to the front too... would that add to too much work? Or do you all think having bushes with nothing around look good?  I might have to wait anyways, there is bridge work that is going to happen soon and they might harm our yard, guess that will give me time to think on what to do.

I changed the window fabric of that one block, and changed out the dog. I just am too tired to sew. Maybe this summer I will get caught up with my must do's.

I got a sweet card from a little girl who I gave a basket full of fun things.. the Easter Frog !!  got to be different.

Mom and I are not doing anything extra. I might make a pie for us to have tomorrow night, I will see.

I had a neighbor die this past week. I never got to meet her in the three years I have been here, but I had spoken with her. She was my age, that one hit home.

I hope you each enjoy your Easter.
