UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I went on a quilting tour of Norway 20 some years ago.  The only fabrics then were quite heavy.  I should post a picture of the quilts we made with them anyway.

The other two stores I frequent in the Las Vegas/Henderson NV area are Christmas Goose.  This is a more traditional quilt store, lots of wool quilting and period fabrics.  The other is Sew Yeah.  This store is run by two brothers.  They have been so good to us for our QOV group, affording us a nice discount.

Quiltique is one of the stores close to me.  Just signed up for their Kimberbell Klub.  I need to learn more about embroidery.  www.quiltique.com

www.35thavesewandvac.com in Phoenix, AZ and Chandler, AZ were my go to shops when I lived in Scottsdale. It isn't letting me copy any photos. I did go to a quilt show here in Tucson, but haven't seen any quilt shops yet.

In Ohio I have several favorites. But I loved going down to Amish quilt shops in Holmes County. Helping Hands Quilt Shop (helpinghandsquilts.com) in Berlin and Miller's Dry Goods (millersdrygoods.com) in Millersburg. Then there's the Tiny Stitches Quilt Shop in my home town of Middlefield, OH...no website or photos.

Can't wait to see your favorites! Kathy, maybe you'll see some in Norway.

I haven't been to a quilt shop in Tucson yet. Will have to get online and find one I've been to in Phoenix in the past. I have a couple faves up there.

I understand that due to a geomagnetic storm from the sun that all of our northern friends are really in for a great aurora light show tonight.  You need to take pictures for me.  Suppose to be visible as far south as Ohio.  One of those things I have on my bucket list.  Have never seen one.

Why not, Linda. Let's all take a photo of the front of your fave. local quilty place , or one in your travels. Then tell us what town & state or prov. we're in! The rest of us will " come with you" .
