If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Zoe, I feel I could open with the same words you used:  so many Drs.' appts and medical issues.  My son is so helpful - he took us downtown to the eye Dr. yesterday.  Now we are ready whenever the blood technician arrives.  Then I have a meds problem to sort out at the pharmacy and speak to Doug's Dr. about stopping his blood thinners.  He is so weak and frail.  I have to do everything for him.  But I really want to take care of him well - he's had a lifetime of taking care of me.

Zoe, don't foget that your mom was raised in a whole different era, when it was considered " insulting" to be paid for doing a favor for a friend or neighbour. Now adays a little giftie is a perfect reward for someone stepping up to help out. You're lucky to have a neighbour who cares. I hope you make sure there's plenty of " on- going -project " storage in your new studio. Be sure to dedicate shelves for project boxes and a hang rod for hangers.

So many doctors appointments the past two weeks and now the doctor wants to do a endoscopy next week, I am fine with that and a neighbor said he would help me out. He will leave work to help me-- I will plan to give him a gift card for someplace close. My mom said she would feel offended if someone gave her something, thoughts?  I just never want to take advantage of anyone. The hardest part of this will be that I cannot use some of my medications I need for my asthma, and I am concerned that this might cause me choking issues before next week. I am sure I will manage, it just will not be fun.

On quilting, I am not able to concentrate this week.  I found a cute Grinch quilt online, I plan to remove the back and pull out the hand ties, then make this wider. What I really like that this person did was is they did not use any binding, they just had both edged even and sewed then together. It looks very nice, too bad I am pulling it out.

Looking good! Riana.  The Dr. arranged for the blood lab to sent someone to our home on Thursday to do a blood test on Doug.  We did not think that he could survive going outside and standing in line for a long period of time.

Progress... but now to get it to " teen" size for CHEO, l'll need to get in some height, as it needs to be a rectangle.

Riana, I don't think that I signed up for a newsletter.  Each time I get a free pattern I have to go back and forth between the end of the blog to the beginning - then finally I can download it.  Patterns are so cute!  One has a Mother Duck and her ducklings.  Patterns for other crafts can be used for quilting too.  Since you sent the link out I've received many beautiful patterns.

Dr. is phoning us at 10:15 so I think I'll feel more relieved after talking to him.  He is not seeing patients just virtual.

Liz, l 've gone back to Susy's blog page, but cannot figure out how to get the free patterns. How is that done? Or must you sign up for a " newsletter"? ( l never sign up for those things). So Doug's ill? That would explain his feebleness and depression. Once doc gets him back on track, he may get back to his regular routine.Let's hope.

Barbara, DONE ? The owl is, but l started it before Christmas, then it sat on my design wall while l sewed lap quilts for the nursing home ( those were quick, and quilted on longarm & frame. When you get over your fear of your setup, you'll be AMAZED at how much more quickly the actual quilting goes, lol. The embroidered one l worked on in evenings while watching tv.during the fall. That's why we're on UFO page, right?
