If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I'm with ya! Now that I'm pulling out the UFOs from my cupboards, I'm coming out of my depression as i was so overwhelmed with not getting anything done. I'm currently trying to finish a valentine wallhanging for the office, hopefully before valentine's day, completing the quilting on a baby quilt and need to bind the other baby quilt (twins--boy and girl). Those are my goals this month!!

Set those goals and we will make it.  Focus, Focus, Focus.  we can do it ladies.  I finished 10 last month, one large and 9 small, but they are done.  I feel good about it and that did not include the others that I had to do while I was finishing those.  February is a shorter month so we all need to be even more studious.  yes, my goal is 10 projects this month so by the end of the year i should finish 120 of the over 135 I had.  That way I get to start some new ones and finish them before going forward.  I have already started for this month a quilt that is now quilted, not as nice as i wished because the piecing was terrible, but needs binding put on.  I traded my quilting for someone to do binding.  That should help me a bit because I do not like the binding process.  I have another on the longarm that was started last year in March.  Maybe I can finish it before a year old.  Then onto the other quilt that I started seven years ago and is not finished.  It will be pretty, but have to get it finished!  Then I am going to do those pincushions I cut out and started, have all the stuff for, and just looking at me.  This way I mix the small and large projects.  I did pick up a second job this month so may not get as many finished as I want, but we will see.  sets some goals girls and we can do this even if it is one.

Wow Elizabeth! You are the queen of u.f.o.'s in my book.I see you also quilt for charity etc. Do you get fabrics donated, or is this stuff all self-funding?

Welcome Elizabeth .. maybe we should call them 'inspirations' instead of UFO's  LOL

Hello Elizabeth, Welcome. We must be in the right place. I haven't counted them, but I have a bunch. I only listed what I thought would be reasonable to finish by the end of Feb. Your way is probably more honest..

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new member of the UFOs, but I'm not new to all those unfinished quilting projects.  I just counted all my UFOs and made a list.  I have 117, some are WIPs and some are unstarted, and the others are somewhere in-between.  I love them all, and intend to finish them, God willing.

Am stitching on the binding to the cancer quilt tonight, am ready to round corner #3. I used the Sharon Schamber method of press and glue and I was a bit skeptical, but I have 4 perfect corners.  I took a pic of this at the sew in on Saturday as the glued binding makes it look finished even tho it wasn't stitched yet, will post tomorrow. This morning I had injections in my right foot first thing this morning and it is now affecting my ability to walk, use presser foot .. and throbbing !  And the doctor said I could anything normally today .. NOT ! I am whining here .. big time!  My neighbor helped me add some hay to the feed shed this afternoon tonight, I've been trying to keep my foot up but the dogs want to go in and then out .. then come back in .. am ready to shoot a few and reduce my numbers. As I said, I am whining. I guess I will have to finish this stitch out tomorrow as I cannot focus at all .. cheers !
