If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

No wonder it's been so quiet from your end Dee... l tend to do a bit too much " dreaming" and talking on fb these days, and l have no tops sewn to put in the frame & quilt. But boy, l'm sure getting a lot of ideas. So once l hit " go" in the sewing room l should be able to catch you, lol.

Wow! Deanna, you are making such progress!  Glad to hear that your sewing and quilting are going so well.  I got a lot of sewing done today - worked entirely with scraps.

Hi all ~ can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving here, the months are flying by. Am on staycation at home since Veteran's Day, did 2 QOV presentations, working on my quilts to get to quilter for Christmas, am on #7 top and sewing sash rows together for between rows, and on last two. Today is finish day. Then have one more boy quilt that I am using a Minecraft blanket and a sheet for a backing and calling it done so I can work on other items. Am on overdrive !

Prayers for all that need them,

Dee - aka Gramma Elf

Riana, at least the song isn't about your little dog!  Better to sing than to cry.  I'm hoping that you will find your pattern.  Could you wing it?  Just embroider where you think it should be?

I really like the placemats you made.  This week isn't going well for me but I'm doing well in the sewing room.  One plastic bin of scraps is slowly being absorbed into 12" pieced squares for backing.  And I finished hand button-holing a 12" cat for a quilt.  Now I'm doing the same with circles fused onto 6" squares.  We're watching The Crown on Netflix as I hand sew under my powerful light.

On the down side...l got 2/3 of the lighthouse door quilt completed ....but have misplaced my pattern! I need it to finish the " detail" hand  embroidery  part . My sewing room is tidy. I checked garbage & recycle bins. It must be in between my templates & past patterning notes/ sketches.,(or somewhere in the house out of the sewing room?) Where o where has my pattern gone...o where o where can it beeeee?

Well Liz, I feel your disappointment and hope this can be handled soon.  Know when I went last Tuesday, the assistant doing the tests said “ok, let’s schedule you for the procedure as you need it” when I responded that according to the other doc the procedure was scheduled for today...she left, came back and they did surgery.  Hopefully yours will happen soon.

Riana, your quilt is so cute.  I have finished a few little UFOs over the past couple of weeks, just need to take pictures.  Started to sew photos on grandsons PHD project too.  Nice to be able to see again.

That was a big disappointment, Liz.  We will keep praying until all is fine again.

Thank you everyone!  I got the ball rolling this morning by phoning the Hemetologists' office to get the permission to stop taking the aspirins for 7 days before the operation.  I left a message for Nina, the admin. asst. there.  Now I'll wait for her to do her thing.

I'll try to get as much time in my sewing room today - my comfort zone!

Oh Liz! You would think they would have told you about the blood thinners prior to today! Keeping you in my prayers that they get this sorted out so you can have the eye surgery very soon.
