Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Candle wicks or stuffing tiny corners ( ears/ paws?) of sewn toys.
I saw an article in the paper some years ago about a women who passed away. She was one who saved everything. Among all her belongings they found a jar labeled "strings to short to use". I wonder what she was planning to do with those???? I have a lot of strings to short to use and I can't think of a thing I could do with them.
Zoe, you sound like my MIL. She used to " l saved ___$ today by buying___ on sale, lol. Really, the only way to REALLY save money is to stay out of the stores !( online included).
My new hearing aids arrived yesterday. They're bigger than the others were, but half the price. I was able to take the audio test online, so no visit to hearing clinic. They seem to be doing the job just fine, tho not as comfortable as the small ones.I'm going to try fixing them to outsides of my glasses with rubber tubing or something. I don't want to lose one again!
I found the pattern I want to use for one of the quilts using the Aussie fabric's. They still had the sale on today so I went to save more...lol I really went to find one fabric for the quilt, and I did find it. Then I decided that since the price was good, I would make some more pillow cases for my nieces children.
A dear elderly friend in Milwaukee is in hospital with pneumonia and covid. They took him off oxygen today and he seems to be holding on his own. They were going to try sitting him up this afternoon.
One of my PT therapists has covid symptoms. Waiting to hear what her tests results are. My PT has been canceled until then. So far I have not had any symptoms. My doctor does not want to test me unless I have symptoms or her test results are positive.
Checkin' in on everyone on this gorgeous weekend. Getting a bit frosty here in mid-central - going to have really low temps here, flannel sheets are my savior. Have slowed down on the sewing room, cleaning and dusting and continuing the organization of the chaos. Quilter has the last 3 and she's working on the two boy quilts that are using blankets and sheets so I can use the excess of the sheet on one for the binding on both, so my room has to be ready to trim and make binding. I am working on mending my spring quilt that has popped stitching - then off to the laundromat to wash and dry. We all know how we avoid this stuff ..
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy - it seems that the numbers in my area are creeping ever higher and closer .. today my boss texted me to let me know that a referee at a HS basketball game from 2 weeks ago has shared it with the 2 teams - of course her son was a player and our manager has a son on the other team .. oh joy ..

Gail, it took a pandemic to get you out of cooking the big meal...l would see that as a silver lining( lol...can you tell l hate to cook?) Sorry you will be missing the family...l hope you can skype or facetime.
Linda, the whole holiday season is tough on those living alone. Perhaps you can arrange to have a neighbour's dog over once in a while? Maybe you could " dogsit" while they go get groceries or keep an appointment.
Riana, that will be fun to see what you come up with with those pretty fabrics.
Linda, I have Roku on one TV, I have not explored all it has to offer.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you wonderful quilty friends!
