If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I had my appt. and he took pictures to show me that my lower lid is turning inward and about 20 lashes are scratching the cornea just like happened with the other eye, so he referred me to the eye surgeon who did the surgery on my eye the last time.  No medical relief available to soothe my eye.  I can tape my eye lid to my nose but the tape irritates my eye.  Good that I know what is wrong.

Riana, the eye Dr. woke me this morning and wanted me in the office in 1/2 hour.  He doesn't realize I live more than 1/2 hour from his office.  I am going in at 11:15.  Doug isn't keen on driving across town.  I can tell, but he will reluctantly.

Today was spent helping hubby winterize and put away all outdoor gardening equipment deep into storage barn so snow removal ones could be near front. I also stacked firewood in the crib in garage so l won't need to trek out to barn for that in winter. We only use it for the fireplace...but that's our backup if furnace breaks down or power goes out in a storm. I did figure out a plan for stitching the airplane baby quilt.

Liz, l think you should also call your reg. doctor. The eye problem may be a symptom of something else...please don't leave it any longer. I don't blame you for avoiding emerg. It's wonderful that you had some relief today.

It hasn't snowed here yet either, Barbara.  My daughter's property in B.C. has been a Winter Wonderland.  She is further north and at a higher elevation.

My eye is a little better today.  So I sewed this morning.  All 15 of the 6x21 sections of Seeing Stars are done.  And I worked on sewing scraps into 12" scrappy squares.  (I may end up with more backs and tops).  And I'm back to sewing the rows of Fun With Bricks together.

I watched the episode of Poirot's last case on T.V. last night in which Poirot dies.  It was so poignant and sad.

Riana is right about our autumn having lots of colour.  I heard the weatherman say that the temperatures at night have been perfect for bringing out a lot of red in the leaves.

My son wants to take me to emergency for my eye today, but I would like to put it off until I try to get an appt. tomorrow.  I'm really scared to go to emergency because of the covid and because I would go crazy waiting there for hours and hours.

No Barbara, we're enjoying bright sunny autumn with lots of colour...but it's only 58°f.

Liz, Hope your eye will recover quickly.  Prayers.

Riana, great airplane quilt.

Snow was on the radar but it passed us up and went north. I am supposing you Canadians have it by now.

Very nice, Riana.  I've slept the day away while resting my eyes, but needed to get on here for a little while.  Funny we want to do what we can't do.

I've had the pattern for the little pieced + a bit of applique airplane for a long , long time...just never got around to making it. But when l saw it again in my older magazine when straightening my " sewing" bookcase, l decided now is the time. Blocks are only 7" fin., so needed a big border. Pinterest to the rescue! The top now is 42" sq. and l've made a partially pieced back for it. Got it on the frame today.

So sorry to hear that Elizabeth. I hope it won't take too long. My hubby's been waiting for joint specialist appointment for 4 mo. But there's only one in Eastern Ont., and he can't schedule " elective" surgery while covid protocols in place in Kingston area. Your situation seems more of an emergency.
