If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Love the Kiddy clothes RIana. But I do agree with Wilma, I would shy away from minky fabric.

Zoe, it is me who has the GD who doesn't like my quilts!  I'm leaving a legacy of quilts so there may be some left when GGD grows up.  I'll be in Quilt Heaven at that time so I won't have any worries.

Well, after we bought the chocolates (Can you imagine some boxes were $175.), I led us in the direction of Stokes, a kitchenware store.  I picked out a set of dishes and then bought 2 sets to get 8 of each.  The Grinch (his old name is back) paid for them and now he claims they are his!  LOL

Wilma, I would make a quilt for your GGD anyways, but put it away for her when she is out of the home. That is so sad and I think mean of your GD.

Elizabeth, just break all of your dishes, this way you will for sure get new

There is such a wealth of free patterns out there for scrap quilters, Zoe. Liz mentioned 3 very good ones -,, and - all excellent sources of unlimited patterns.

Riana, I passed on the washing instructions to Doug, who is the Dobi in our family.  He washes everything except the towels and underwear in cold.

We are on our way to the mall where the best chocolates in Canada are sold.  His tradition is to buy some for family and close friends every year.  Usually I don't go with him, but I'd like to talk him into a gift for me.  I'd like new everyday dishes.  Stay tuned if I get some this Christmas.

Riana, you made such nice clothes for your girls.  They are almost like costumes. They will be so thrilled

Wilma, I have a GGD but her mother, my GD, doesn't like the quilts I make.  And has turned down a quilt I wanted to send to Layla.  But my friend's GD just loved the quilt I made for her soon to be born son and her older children are squabbling over wanting to use it themselves, so I'm making those 2 little girls quilts.

Riana, how cute !!

Wilma, Let your sons boss pick out the fabrics or his wife and have them send to you, they need to understand there is time involved not just in the quilt making.  I made a neat quilt for some friends, they loved the quilt. She said, the ones in PA are so costly". I did not have the heart to tell her the true cost of her quilt. She makes jewelry.. did she give me anything she made?? nope

Riana, these are so cute....I hope one day I will be blessed with a GGD.

The boys received their packages today and called/texted to tell me they LOVED their quilts.  So glad they were happy with them.  They also loved their extra goodies.
Son then texted and said a co-worker wants a quilt for his daughter.  Will see what happens there...

Tomorrow I am going to tackle the minkey project.  Will post when finished.
