Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Elizabeth, I can't wait to see the Pansy quilt. I love Thimbleberries so much. I have the patterns for several of them that I haven't done yet and want to start but, I must finish what I already have started so I can earn my PHD. I can feet Riana watching me so I'll just have to behave for now.
Riana, love the Teddy Bear Quilt.
I helped my friend finish 2 tops for QOV and I offered to press the one I sewed. It's done and it will be handed in at the QOV sew-in on Monday. Now back to the Pansy quilt. Don't think I can ignore the Connecting Threads remnant sale today. So far I just wrote a list out on paper.
Love those teddy bears, Riana!
Riana, Erika might get it from you! I hope you enjoy making her cape.
Linda, glad you are doing okay. Hope those stitches do fall out as they should. Hope you enjoy sewing for the girly girl!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with 16 people and tons of good food. Hope you each had a great day whether it was with many or few!
Happy Thanksgiving to all you UFO quilters. Hope no one overindulged today. I have my foot up with an ice wrap, had an “intimate” turkey dinner for two with leftovers for the week. Overdid the walking this week, now I pay the price. Hubby said “you should have listened to the doc when he said ‘don’t overdue it’l...hmmm
Happy Turkey Day my quilty friends!
I only had 2 sons and no daughters. My DIL is tomboy, tho she is the daughter I never had. Thankfully, her daughter, my grandd is very girly....loves pink and purple, flowers, crafts, loves having a grandma that sews for her, loves hula (my DIL is full Hawaiian and belongs to large tribe).
I have 2 other grandd but never get to see them so don't know if they like girly things or not. I do know they are both in girl scouts. Their mom is not very girly, girly, but does love crafts....doesn't sew tho.
Take care, Linda! Prayers for continued healing.
I think moving slowly with any new friendship is always best, Zoe. Some sort of baked goods is a good way to start.
I only had boys til my second marriage. The boys were grown and no fun to sew for. When we got our little girl, I finally got to sew the girly things that are so much fun. Thankfully, my DD liked to have special dresses and be pretty. At least when she was little. Teen years turned sort of Goth and all black and so the sewing ended for her, too. Now it's quilts for the whole gang, including all of the grands.
I came across this poem and thought you gals would like it.
