UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Enjoyed a day of golf yesterday , and went shopping at the big open market today...but also got to Joanne's and found the perfect fabrics for my little 4 yr. old grandd's Christmas presents. Now grandma has to get sewing so they'll be done in time for mailing across the country.

Liz,what a lovely time you'll have in B.C. Hopefully your hubby will at least answer door, if not the phone. Sorry l got the message about that batting sale to you too late. Hopefully there will be another one soon.

What an exciting trip, Elizabeth! Zoe's suggestion of Visiting Angels is a good one.

Barbara, love the poem. I could use those ladies on the bus to finish what I've started and the Christmas projects I meant to start!

Barbara, I would like to be a quilting lady on the bus.  I think it sounds like my version of heaven.

Zoe, I would like to make an appt. for the first week in June 2020 for the bus to come to my home.  The quilting ladies could look after Hubby and finish all my UFOs!

I am pressing the finished top of the Pansy Quilt today.  And I'm ready to press the rows of the scrap pieced backing.  Also making a row for my temperature quilt.

Riana, I saw your posting early this morning and learned that the batting sale finished Nov. 30 at midnight.  They are closed today.

Love the poem...I could use their help this year after foot surgery...more limiting than I thought.  Have binding to put on 2 quilts yet.  Rest will wait til after first and be gifted later.  Am sure grandsons will understand.

Elizabeth, your trip sounds wonderful.  We love BC and have been there often.  Hope you find someone to stay with hubby.

Elizabeth, I am so happy for you to go on the trip. I loved BC ! Visiting Angels would be great as you might ask neighbors to come by.  What health issues does your husband have?

Barbara, I love the poem ! It made me curious about if there were any living family members from  Clement Clarke Moore, as I wondered how they view all the editions of his first poem, I would imagine delighted. I wrote several different versions myself, one from a job I did, another when I lived in Iceland- I think I still have that copy some place. That made me smile, so fun ! Thank you for posting.

Love this, Barbara! Wonderful poem and start to the most hectic time of year for us quilters! Oh, if it was only true!

After years of not travelling, my son has booked me a trip to go to B.C. to see my daughter, my grandson and my great grandson in June for a week with him and his wife.  I am so happy and so excited! I'm paying my own way, of course, because the trip for the 2 of them is a major expense.   It is not without a lot of sadness too because I have to leave Hubby at home.  His health does not permit him to make the trip.  I am going to arrange someone to look in on him  because he does not answer the phone.
