If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Wilma, what a thoughtful shop...keeping hubby busy filling his tummy w/ snacks so you can browse in peace! Thanks for the photo... we all got to go with you!

Dee, l have a quilting buddy who has been living in a house surrounded by sandbags and pumps going, keeping out 5 ft. of the Ottawa River that surrouns them.

Well a visit to Sew Yeah! gave me some muslin for backing the rest of the adult bibs for my mom’s place.  But I bought a couple half yard pieces to make some more cell phone holders for craft sale end of year and some more sachet sacks.  Here are pictures of store front and the hubby’s favorite.  Gift for club members was a small bottle of Mary Ellen’s Best Press.

Checkin' in on  ya'll .. having to work this week has kept me more than busy and almost seems like I am not doing anything compared to my time away with kids  lol I finally got most of the sewing stuff unpacked and sorted, threads put away, projects bags undone .. had to mail grands a package today as I got them a game of checkers on the way home.  Now to finish what I started !

Love the colors of the quilt Elizabeth .. wonderful job !

Kris the rug is gorgeous .. I got a jelly roll and the pattern from a friend for my birthday, it will really go nicely in the newly made over bathroom if I can sit down for a week after work and concentrate on that one :)

Now that the storms are done, the flooding is beginning. NW AR is under water, Ft. Smith is rising, the Arkansas River will go into flood stage in our area next week .. oh boy … and the farmers in NE and north of us are still cleaning up from their flooding ..

Can't wait to see what you girls find on your road trip :)

OMGosh, Gail! You hit the Motherload! I wouldn't have been able to resist, either!

Thank you, Gail.  I have never been to a thrift shop to look for fabric even though there are 4 within a 2 block radius of my condo.  You almost tempted me to go todayl.  Lots of poor people live in a large rental complex of apts. and garden homes near me - mostly refugees that Canada has taken in - and I would rather they found nice fabric for inexpensive than me.  I have the yearly QOV sales to buy from and I have a large amount of fabric anyway. LOL

Elizabeth, what a gorgeous quilt.  A real work of art!  The backing is beautiful.  I've never seen such gorgeous fabric, I can't imagine any one ever cutting it.  Using it for backing was a wonderful idea.

Yesterday I  was in a thrift store and saw a large plastic bag, the kind bedspreads come in,it had a label that said quilt pieces $5.00.  Of course I had to open it and spill everything out to see what was there.  Much to my surprise I found enough blocks  to make two good size quilts and beautiful fabric already sewn into strips, enough to  cut and make yet another good sized throw.  Of course I am now the owner of more UFOs.  I am going to be busy, busy, busy.

Thank you Zoe and Riana.  I'm just trying to figure out how to send the photo to my family and friends.  I've tried for a few hours and I want to sent one to Piecing the Past.  I am hoping a family member will claim it once they see it.
