UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I love seeing bees in a garden, what a great idea for a quilt block.

I need your honest thoughts. I had left over fruit and veg fabric so now I am making my nephews girl friend a quilt. I plan to have a patchwork quilt with these stars in there, I plan to put 10-12 in there. Do yo like the bee fabric like this, or should I add more color to outline the stars?

Welcome Carol!

Mary, l'd not use pink on the raffle quilt, maybe go w/ black or perhaps that gold batik if you have more. I think the mystery quilt looks interesting, quite like an impromtu quilt. Those socks will sure be conversation starters :-)

Ginny, I'm going to hand in the quilt with the one I finished in January when I go to the sew-in in April.  Hopefully the quilting is so dense and people are so busy - they won't notice the blue marks.  I'll let you know.  I haven't heard of anyone being fired! LOL

Mary, I like your murder mystery quilt!  Have you solved the who-dun-it?  It is going to be such a unique quilt.

I did so well today.  Hubby said that if I worked everyday like today I'd be turning out finished quilts every 2 weeks.  I have a quilt ready to be sandwiched tomorrow!

Pink or Black binding on the raffle quilt?

First week's clue of the mystery "Octopus's Garden" socks, Learned, I hope, three new techniques, Pale purple the ocean, Mauve the octopus, and the teal will be the flowers. Have no idea what the finished product will look like.

On the same note, this is the almost finished top of last year's murder mystery quilt..the clues were in the various flowers.  My reaction is, what a waste of lovely fabric.  But then quilting might salvage it, or I could use it as part of a summer duvet cover? I added the larger fabric sections to have a more usable size.Last but not least, the raffle quilt is back from the quilter.  The...

How many UFO's have I admitted to today?

Elizabeth, I have spent the last few days picking out my own stupid mistakes.  Hubby finally said put it away for now and work on something else , I know you're talking to yourself, but, language is not so good.  He was right!!!  I decided to put in a movie and embroider {hand} I finished a tea towel.

Mary, octopus socks???

Barbara, your table runners are always so pretty.  They make wonderful last minute gifts.  I put stuff away in what is know in my family as"the drawer".  I am always ready with something at the last minute.  That's where the tea towel from yesterday now resides.
