If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Our daughter & family in Santa Cruz have taped up their door cracks, turned on air purifier and are staying indoors due to the smoke...the 2 yr. old wants to go out & play, sigh.

Dee, happy snowy birthday! Not enough for a snowman, though, was there.

Gail, the month will fly by , since you're so busy!

Elizabeth .. so stinkin' CUTE !!!  Does he love it or deciding whether a nap needs to be done to try it out ?  lol

Thanx Linda ~ 60 comes but one, or, 4x if I multiply by another number  lol

Stitching gnome block again, gnomette has her dress on, and am ready to give her pigtails and a hat, and I am done with this one.  THEN, I am switching gears to get a log cabin done over the next couple days so I can take 2 quilts to quilter this week .. then another project .. rolling on …

Now of course I have to think about the Advent banner .. and I do not have ONE stitch of deep purple in the house .. ugh

Happy Birthday, Dee!!!!

Mary, happy to hear you and Paul are safe!

Everyone, please pray for my granddaughter who lives in the Bay area. She has severe asthma and they are getting smoke from Ventura County fires.

Elizabeth, I love the quilt! Let's face it...I love all your quilts!!!!!

Linda so glad to hear that you are settling in more each day.  So sorry about your plumbing problems.  Hopefully they will be straightened out soon and your remaining cabinets will be installed.  I know you will have a beautiful home when it is finished so that you and Indy can relax and enjoy.

Mary, I am so glad that you and Paul are safe  and away from the fires, although I'm sure you are probably experiencing some of the smoke and foul air.  On the news they said the remanents  from the smoke have made it to the east coast.

We are still camping out with my daughter at her home,  We will be getting into our apartment next month.  It is in a lovely setting, secluded and yet 5 to 10 minutes away from groceries, banks, parks and daughter's house. A lovely patio and well kept grounds and activities.  I do have my little sewing nook here so I am working ufos.  So many to get finished before Christmas.  I think a lot of orphan blocks are going to become wall hangings either alone depending on size or a few together.  I also have knocked out eight large Christmas stockings and have four more to go.  These are for my son who's house burned a few months ago and for some friends of my daughter, so I am staying busy.

Also planning a Thanksgiving fest.

I hope everyone and their families and friends stay well and that all these disasters stop happening.  "Peace on Earth, Good Will Towards Men."

Praying along with the others for those affected by the fires. So Happy that Mary and Paul are safe.

Linda, so glad things are shaping up for you in your new home. It seems there is aways abundance of fix ups needed. But I think you will create a beautiful home for you and Indy.

Praying for all those affected by the fires, and glad you are safe Mary.  I remember those Santa Anas as a kid, a welcome to the cold of the fall (if there really is fall there), but we all pretended it was still summer.  A spark from something combined with these winds and the devastation is beyond our comprehension.

Took the week off to sew and just play ~ catching up on gnome blocks and a few things around the house. My iris bed is settling, but may let it settle for a couple more weeks before I put all my pots in. We have been getting a true cold snap with overnight freezes and daytime temps not much higher. Friday we may get a heat wave of 60 lol  Great time to work on my UFO bag and get some presents done and out the door :)

Thank God you are okay, Mary! We've all had you in our thoughts and prayers. The devastation for all those people! So hard to imagine!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you guys.  We are not in danger from the current big fire.  Though we are still on red alert as any fire in our area could mimic the one in the news.  A teacher at our local grade school was commuting from the area of the big fire and his wife and 5 month old were lucky to get out in time.  Their house was lost...but they are feeling lucky to be alive.  There is a fund raising dinner and auction for them at the school on Friday.  I'm looking thru my handmade Christmas presents to see if anything might be popular at an auction.
