UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you guys.  We are not in danger from the current big fire.  Though we are still on red alert as any fire in our area could mimic the one in the news.  A teacher at our local grade school was commuting from the area of the big fire and his wife and 5 month old were lucky to get out in time.  Their house was lost...but they are feeling lucky to be alive.  There is a fund raising dinner and auction for them at the school on Friday.  I'm looking thru my handmade Christmas presents to see if anything might be popular at an auction.

Shelving is starting to come in. Linen closet is done. Pull out shelving for lower kitchen cabinets are in. Pulled out a cabinet from the laundry into the kitchen. So had to order another cabinet for the laundry. It is suppose to be here Wednesday. Sewing room cabinet arrived today. Got the bookshelves for the sewing room last week. It's slowly coming together. The only items left are the bookshelf and bed for the computer/guest room....AND solution to the plumbing nightmares. Whoever did the plumbing in this house didn't know what they were doing.

Mary, please stay safe and know that you are in my prayers.

Elizabeth, just think of it as extra seating if you have a lot of company.

Riana, I love your lighthouse quilt and your beautiful sun room.  My daughter that we're staying with right now has furnished a whole house on "finds".  She is a professional painter and decorator and rarely uses new items.  She can look at something that others would pass over  and see what it could be. She's like a magician, she turns trash into treasure.

Linda, I hope you  are settling in now and all is good.  I know Indy likes it, he was smiling in those pictures.

I echo Linda in praying Mary and Paul are safe.

Perfectly colored quilt for your lovely sun room , Riana. Beautiful!

Praying for Mary. The pictures on Facebook aren't good. The news was that Paradise was completely wiped out. I hope Mary and Paul have evacuated and are safe.

Riana I love the quilt and the sunroom turned out great. Your thrift store finds look brand new. I especially like the bistro set and the coffee table!

California looks pretty bad. Has anyone heard from Mary. I hope they have evacuated.

Mary, better pack RV except for perishables...you'll sleep better.

Elizabeth, you don't sound too upset, so l figure you must have another toilet that functions in condo? Yes, construction dust gets past the plastic sheet barriers that contractors put up to protect other areas...you can bet the air is just as bad. Do you have an air purifier you can turn on? If not, ask any friends to borrow one for a while. You two don't need breathing problems.

Riana, I love the lighthouse quilt and the sunroom.

Mary. I'm glad to know you have the RV to be prepare for evacuation at whatever moment it is needed. Be careful and ready and safe.

Riana, that's a marvelous quilt!  I love light houses, and sea themes.  Such lovely quilting you did on it, too.

Mary, sure do hope you all stay safe!  I still remember when my brother and his family had to evacuate when fires were near them.  You could see the burnt area from their back porch, but their house wasn't touched.  Stay safe!!!
