If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Oh, Gail! So glad to hear you are okay, but so sorry to hear that you've lost so much! A prayer for safety going out to all of our FL friends.

Hi everyone.  We have lost our home, an apartment.  No power or water expected for months , but we are okay.  We are in Jacksonville at our Granddaughters.  Will stay here for about a week or so and children fromVirginia are comingdown to help us move to Virginia..  We took a direct hit in our area and there is complete demolision.  Sorry for any one else that has gone thru this.

Glad to hear all is well, Elizabeth...heaven knows there've been enough trials in the past.

That is strange, Elizabeth. It came in my inbox today. LOL

Hi Barbara,

It must have been an old message from when my husband had a pacemaker implanted and had his valve replaced.  We are both well presently.  I'm just getting ready to go downstairs to the party room to cut some fabric.

What devastation in Florida's northwest! That monster storm came up so fast, and was nearly cat. 5 when it hit Mexico Beach/ Panama area! Zoe, l don't know how close you were, but l'm sure there's no power andprobably wind damage.                       We're delaying departure so we're not in the way of storm rescue/ cleanup in the Carolinas and way of knowing how those folks will be effected yet. They're still reeling from Florence.

Elizabeth sent a comment but it doesn't show up on the UFO page. It was about her husband coming home if the test come out good. The rest of it is cut off.

Deanna,  Oh, my heart hurts for you.  That is just too many love ones to go too close together.  I am amusing lived long as most can live up to 18 years, which I think makes it even harder to say good-bye.  For my dog, he is still full of life, that is what makes it so hard for me- there is no signs of ill health like slowing down, sleeping all the time etc. He is full of energy.  You are right, they each take a bit of our heart, but we get some of theirs and I know as you know, they gave us the best life and we gave them the best life, so we each added to our lives. It still hurts as you know. I am so sorry about your sweet cat, they are so unique in their expressions of affections.
