If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Deanna,  Oh, my heart hurts for you.  That is just too many love ones to go too close together.  I am amusing lived long as most can live up to 18 years, which I think makes it even harder to say good-bye.  For my dog, he is still full of life, that is what makes it so hard for me- there is no signs of ill health like slowing down, sleeping all the time etc. He is full of energy.  You are right, they each take a bit of our heart, but we get some of theirs and I know as you know, they gave us the best life and we gave them the best life, so we each added to our lives. It still hurts as you know. I am so sorry about your sweet cat, they are so unique in their expressions of affections.

Linda, glad you are making some progress.

Zoe, sorry for your pup. I have lost 2 dogs in the past few months, and last night, our Rusty (cat), went over the Rainbow Bridge. The all take a piece of our heart with them ~

Been going thru the stash to find something to piece a back for Wilow, she's the next one to the quilter !

And tonight I am just whipped. Skipped swimming this morning so I could drive 2 hrs to the conference, only to have my car die at a place I stopped to use the restroom. Got a jump, made it to the conference. Car started for the return trip, but when I again stopped at the same place on the way home, needed another jump. Nice Samaritan this morning showed me ow to get it running each time, but I need a long metal something-or-other to reach down and tap the starter .. seems my jumper cables have jumped out of my car as well. On the return trip I left a Quilts of Valor card on the bulletin board .. hopefully someone will see it and nominate someone that needs one.

Tonight I am just going to curl up and veg ..foot is larger than it should be and I cannot sit anymore … nite all

Zoe,  so sorry for your poor doggy.  Lost my Quaker Parrot some time ago. He was my buddy for 6 years.  Also agree with Mary, making a bathroom more comfortable can only make it better.

Linda, so happy for you to be in your own home again. Hope you are enjoying every minute of your time there. Unwrapping all your things will be like Christmas. Hope you have some friends near by.

Mary, once I get settled, you are welcome to come for a visit. I want to see the zoo too.

After spending the day on the phone with computer tech guys because my printer wouldn't print, I've learned that my hard drive must go into the shop! Ugh! I can still use it since it's going to have to wait till next week. I just can't print.

Zoe, It is hard to lose our doggy friends, I have lovely book about a dog's heaven, it ends with a happy reunion. Seems reasonable to make the bathroom more comfortable.

Linda, I want to see the Tucson Zoo again.

Zoe, my heart goes out to you. Wish there was a way I could repay the kindness you gave me when Indy was so sick last year. Know you are in my prayers.

Mary, I lived in Scottsdale when I lived in Arizona previously. I now live in Tucson. I wasn't able to find anything affordable in Scottsdale. I could have moved back to the 55+ community I lived in before, but they are loosing their land lease on the reservation in a few years. I don't want to have to move again and lose what I had paid for. I wouldn't have the money to start over yet again...nor do I have the strength.

Riana, I've ordered 2 more cabinets for fabric storage so I won't have tubs laying around. Once they arrive I can start putting things away and organizing my sewing room. I just ordered pull outs for my lower kitchen cabinets so I can unpack the kitchen. Have to have shelves put in the linen closet. Nothing like opening the linen closet to find no shelving! Can't unpack much until all the shelving gets put in. I was able to get my clothes unpacked. Working on my desk today and waiting for the refrigerator delivery and security system install.

Riana, Thank you for your post. I found the cancer about 5 months ago, but was unable to get him to the vet. I took him a month later and the vet I took him to, brushed it off as " wait and see", and stated she did not think he had cancer, so being new here I just figured he had allergies to the new area. I later took him to a different clinic who I heard was better and that was when we knew it was cancer. So, I am a little upset ( actually a lot) about the first vet's attitude, she even questioned me about another dog I told her about how that one nearly died from A**********... anyway's, so I have him on prednisone, the first vet I really questioned her protocol much less her abilities, she set his life back more, but the clinic was closer. I am going to run back out to the other clinic and see if I should up the medication again. It will get to the point and it already might be to the point that this will not work for him and I will have no choice but to put him down. It hurts, and it just does not see fair that he only got 7+ years. I hate it for him and for me, but there is nothing I can do for him unless I wanted to send $$ for chemo drugs that will only give him a few more months, been there and done that and swore never again.  Logic over emotions= hard choices, and sad ones. I think I feel the most concern for him best friend. This will be her 3rd canine death that she has had to deal with. She is a great gal, but this will hurt her. Sorry for the long post.

Linda, we're all so happy for you. I can just imagine the relief you must've felt! Pace yourself, but set up that sewing area need a de- stress outlet.
