If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Thanks, Carla!

Barbara, you need to trust that you have done your project the way it needs to be done to insure that it will survive washing. Quilts are made to be washed, you know! :c))

To answer your question, Barbara, sometimes I wash them and sometimes I don't and I use my regular laundry soap, but less, on a gentle cycle. I know I should probably use a different soap, but like you, I haven't found the kind of soap that is recommended very easy to find. Have you checked on-line for the soap?

Thank you, Dee, Barbara, and Riana! The quilt has one more stop at our local quilt show next month and then they will receive it at Christmas.

Ginny, l'll bet your sister can't wait to get the quilt once it's done showing at the fair :-)

Sorry Ginny, I did see Birdies in the Tree tops a while back. It's a beautiful quilt. After you put your quilt together, do you wash it before you show it at a fair and what kind of soap do you use? Weeks Riggle in a Craftsy Class said she washes it in Ivory Snow laudry detergent. What do you do? It is hard to find Ivory snow laundry detergent in the stores.

Congrats Ginny !!  And yes, I do use a Word font ramped up to 500 before I print the letters. I wasn't happy with anything I found and then I had this idea, it worked.  The quilts are about 40-42" square and that size fits the size blocks.

I took Willow, one log cabin, my Pentacost banner from church, a crochet messy bun hat, a QOV group quilt and pillowcase, and some photography entries, a landscape, still life, and a portrait of Doug's grands .. I forgot one entry in the bottom of my bag .. smh  lol  Tonight I am still looking via organizing all the fabric I packed from the shelf unit into bins hoping I put it somewhere 'safe' .. I have one spot where I have all the 'ends' of quilts, which is where I should have put it .. it isn't there.  But tonight as I looked at a piece of background for my next QOV kit, this moda marble may work where I need it in a pinch  lol

Linda ~ 4 days !!  How exciting .. hope you are doing good !

Now that fair is over, Christmas is next !!  Stitch on!!

Congratulations on the fair ribbons , Ginny and Dee!

I got my top made for my sunroom, but will wait until later this season to quilt it. I'm busy canning my bumper crop of tomatoes...they just keep coming!

Congratulations to Ginny for the blue ribbon on Birdies in the T's.  We are looking forward to seeing your work of art.

Dee, hope you find your lost fabric box and do well at the fair.
