If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Hi Riana,

Great quilts!  And your yard is a nice place to display them for us.

Wilma, I see that you are keeping very busy too.

I just sewed on the final border on one side of my Rest & Refreshing Quilt.  3 more to go!

I bought Hubby tickets to see and hear the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra when it comes to Ottawa in October.  It will be a tribute to Frank Sinatra.  Hubby loved the big band era.  That is his Father's Day gift.  This evening we are invited to my son's for dinner.

I am reading "trigger Mortis" by Anthony Horowitz in the style of Ian Fleming about James Bond.  Easy reading!

Wow, Riana.  You have been very business.  Such easy patterns for some.  Good ideas for my stash.  I have about 5 more BIG quilts to finish (3 of which are for QOV for our Veterans Club here in Sun City Anthem).  Once those are finished, and the last 2 finished are bound, I am off to smaller quilts.  Have a few ready to take to clubhouse to quilt (we have a longarm in our sewing room).  Need to get 3 of them done for upcoming baby showers (2 boys due in October and a girl in August).  You have been a busy lady.

I haven't received any notifications lately!

Belated Happy Birthday Mary! Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday. I'd take homemade apple pie over birthday cake any day.

I'll miss you too Barbara. But Indy and I love to travel...and who knows? We might end up in Wisconsin for a summer vacation sometime. Indy loves visiting you and Colin. So do I!!! Besides I want to go back to Cedarburg!

Riana, I will miss my garden. I have been taking photos as it blossoms.

Barbara, thanks for the info on hypertension. However, some of that stuff I can't eat because of intestinal problems. I do eat celery and garlic but can't on a daily basis. Onions are a huge NO NO. I've watched salt and sodium I think my whole life. Never been one for much salt anyway. When I do use salt, I use sea salt. I season foods with herbs rather than salt. I eat everything preservatives or prepackaged foods. The doctor feels the hypertension was brought on by all the stress, but is also hereditary. So far the medication doesn't seem to be helping. See the doctor tomorrow. Maybe she will switch meds. I've started listening to Indy's relaxation music that I play during thunderstorms or when I can't take him with me to keep him calm. It's helping me sleep a little better. I'm still up a lot but getting more sleep than before.

Dee, You are amazing. Can't wait to see your latest creations.

Riana and Mary, I wish I could quilt. I've done crochet but haven't done any of that for a long period of time. I didn't know it could help arthritis. Surprise!! Surpirse!!

Thanks for all your kinds words and thoughts and prayers for my brother.

I've been working on a few ufo projects sent to me by friends. They know on completion, they'll go to charity. I'm also working thru my projects that have been in planning stages far too long. Check photos on my page.

Barbara, as long as your brother can run the video equipment, it shouldn't discrimination.

Mary, l love " me days"... glad you had yours on your bday. I haven't knitted in months, but may need to start again to keep arthritis from bothering right hand. It's never been the same since the dog bite.

Great news Barbara ! Prayers for him to continue well in his endeavors, that is all we can ask and God will assist.

Linda ~ prayers that you will be led to where you need to be.

Mary ~ happy belated birthday. With my new wee girl, I want to make so many knitted things !!

Have been working hard around the house, did a deep cleaning yesterday for almost 3 hrs straight, and then it was put the feet up and don't move.  lol  Today I took Charlotte (my Singer 401A) apart for a clean / oil / lube and defuzzing .. wasn't too bad. She gave me fits the last workday for QOV and would not sew a seam to save my life. So I gave up and worked on something else. I pull her out today before church, put her on the table. Sewed a seam, and it was perfect. So took her apart and checked everything, and she is now good to go again :)

Elise is done, Riley is almost ready to sew rows, and I am calling a LA tmrw to send these to. Have QOV presentation and dinner Tues pm so am busy all week it would seem. Am even going to make a couple sundresses / skirts for the girls AND a couple dresses for me .. I am a bit behind on Gnomes at the moment  lol

<keep stitching!>

Thanks Mary and Ginny. Though he has a good attitude I think the stress of it all is heavy on him. I keep him in my prayers that he keeps going on. And if disappointments come he will keep in peace. He is a good man. And God is a good God.

I agree with Mary, Barbara. Your brother sounds like he has a great attitude and is getting back to life!
