UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Indy would have lots of help with her waste basket chores here.  I was thinking of trading houses with son and daughter-in-law, so they could have a short break from the 4 kids.  But when they realized they might have to watch our dogs, they begged off.  I could take the dogs to their house...but I would not call their house dog proof.

Big dogs aren't the only ones who can get into food. My Indy (all 14 pounds) when determined has found a way. I cannot leave anything on the table as he has figured out how to pull out the heavy oak chairs then jumps on the table. Turns out his foster parents let him get away with it. He can also jump very high so if anything is hanging over the edge of any counter or table he thinks it's fair game. I also habe to put waste baskets out of his Reach or he will pull out and shred any and all paper.

Beth, ouch!!...maybe from now on use the dustbuster for the stairs. Hopefully your day w/dd will distract you from the pain. Have a hot bath tonight, and an Advil ( or whatever) for your head...hopefull you'll be back to speed in the morning.

Lol, Mary....we hid things in the oven ( no microwave back then) after our border collie snaffled our porkchops off the very back of the counter where l'd left them to defrost, and our Irish setter got a cake off the top of the fridge, ( must have jumped up on stool, got to counter  next to fridge)...But red licorice?? Hope he didn't get too sick.

Deanna, for a very cold north facing window I make a roll down(like an old tent flap) with heavy cotton front, that matched the wallpaper, thin bat, and a space blanket on the back.  Then tacked Velcro on the three loose sides.  This was all in my son's bedroom.  Even when we lost power, he was warm enough.

Beth, I have never trusted vacuum cleaners...they are malevolent creatures.

Kris, where are the Vikings going camping, skiing, dog sledding?  or have you reindeer?  I wonder where the reindeer from Santa's Village in Arrowhead went when they closed?

Just found most of my four pound tub of red licorice in the front yard.  Scilly (the young new Malamute) carried the whole tub downstairs and out the door.  We learned the hard way to hide everything in the microwave, and have someone stay at the table while putting meals out.  She was a sickly rescue...recuperating very well. But, next month she gets the fierce heart worm treatment.

Had a great day at the bazaar. The Santa wall hanging was one of the first things sold:) And half of the scarves were sold when my shift was over.

Now l can get back to the leaf quilt ( wivsp), a project Linus baby quilt, and , of course ,finish quilting the embroidered roses/wedding ring one.

I'm going to crochet an infinity scarf for me.   Finally something for myself.

Hey rogue, long time no talk to. Been thinking of you but it's been so busy at our place. But I will send you a message when I can. Busy weekend but before I get to doing my chores, wanted to catch up on the messages. Yes, this seems like a fun & caring group. I'm glad also. Ok, take care.
